    I hate when outfielders play shallow like that. Maybe the coaches positioned Rosario there based on batted ball data. If not, someone in the dugout should have told him to back up.

    Grrrrr.... I don't want them trading away a Nick Gordon for a two month rental, but I do want pitching at some point very soon. Like, now. We are playing a poor hand at the moment, but so is everyone else in the Central. No guarantee what the standings will look like a year from now!

    I'm getting a little peeved at all these poundings. Falvey brought in his own people, including his catchers, and they are all supposed to have analytical insights about how to pitch to teams. They had a week to prepare for this series.

    On the radio, Gladden made it sound like Castro didn't communicate anything to the infielders prior to the at bat. Maybe Castro had a mental lapse. If the Twins didn't have a signal ready for a first-and-third situation like that, Castro could have brought the infielders to the mound and all talked it over. I think that's why you see catchers fake the throw so often, which is what Castro probably should have done. Yet it looks like they played it like a straight steal, and Dozier had to reach above his head to corral the throw and try to get it back. The Angels executed it perfectly, too.

    Right - it looked like Sano purposely got in a rundown between third and home so that Kepler could safely advance to second in his own rundown between first and second (and then Kepler almost gets thrown out between second and third, lol)

    Yeah, two base runners making mistakes, glad only one of them was tagged out.

    There really is something to be said for level swings, backspin, and balls that travel farther. That ball hardly got above the level of the right field fence but might have carried out to Hennepin Avenue.

    Speaking for myself, I ran up those vote totals for Sanó in the NY/Boston area.

    It's nice to finally cheer for a team that's good but slumping, instead of a not-so-good team that has the occasional hot streak.

    There is a map floating around. Sano was the solid vote getter for the majority of the nation, except for Ohio. And I suspect it was all very last-minute voting. Like it or not, fans across the country voted for Sano. In any case..........

    I don't know who the trade partners would be, but Buxton, Rosario, Kepler, Granite can all play center. Not to mention Royce Lewis. There would be another position of true depth to deal from.
