    Interesting summary, but Lewis is the obvious answer. Just as we used to wait for Buxton, now we are anguishing over the lost of our best bat. No matter how the team goes now, adding Lewis will always make us better.

    What a lot of mixed thoughts come out of this. Festa's failure so far has me wondering how we can evaluate minor league performances. I see a lot of prospects coming up on other teams and doing well. Do we need another strategy? I hate seeing Varland struggle and I am delighted by Wallner, but don't know if he has changed enough to succeed again in MLB. It sure feels like he should.

    Did I miss something? There were others willing to sign with us? We were close in dollars for others? We signed the guy who was willing to sign with us. And I am glad he did.

    I love it - I do not care about the three true outcomes that are constantly listed. For me it is Strike out, ground our, fly out. Those are the three true outcomes and the last two can at least cause something to happen that is positive.

    Good grief - no. Haven't we already proved this is not a good idea. I know we think it is bargaining pricing but add the lost year to the possible good one and the cost is too high. Has anyone added the salaries paid to Mahle, DeSclafini, Dyson, Paddock, Pineda, Topa during their injury years? We could probably sign a good pitcher for the amount spent.

    You are right and I do not know what else to say. But Paddock reaching his wall means that we need SWR to continue to produce and hopefully Festa or someone else will be able to pick up the rotation in the 5 spot.

    One more question - the short video clip makes me think the error could have gone to Santana as much as Miranda. Does Santana's reputation protect him?

    His bat in the 10th was the worst decision. This is where you PH even guys who are getting the day off.

    Vazquez defense puts him honorable mention and Farmer wins, although Julien and Kiriloff are vying for Most Disappointing Player. So much expectations and so little performance on the field.

    Looking at the prospect results - a short list today Zebby continues to impress, but I wonder if Boushley will be the next pitcher called up for a start?
