  1. His BA should be able to match Adrianza and this could be a way to give him development time. Another option would be Gordon, but we really hear nothing about him. At least Royce has been given one of the CHS awards for his work this summer.
  2. Has anyone noticed that we are the only division where all the teams have won 10 or more games? The weak central!
  3. Can someone please write down all these imaginary rules so we can stop saying unwritten rules and expose them to the sunlight where they might whither like the vampires they are as they suck the life out of the games.
  4. I love it - why do you want your team to be no-hit. Bunting is part of the game as we have already seen with the Twins this year. If they can't field it, that is on the other team.
  5. Maybe we could take a little risk with Royce Lewis taking over for Adrianza - we need some batters.
  6. We have three waiting in St Paul and it is time to move on from Jake.
  7. Let's wait and see what the second half of the season brings us.
  8. The question deserves a simple answer - yes. RP is so erratic year to year and month to month and the manager should not be afraid to move pitchers up and down in their positions. When Rogers gets back to what he was he will be able to move back to his elite position.
  9. I do not buy the excuse that the player is coming back off an injury and therefore we should excuse poor performance. Oddorizzi has been preparing for this start. He is a professional player with a lot of experience. I can accept a bad performance, but not a lame excuse.
  10. And who have we faced the most? KC and we are still not 500 against them and we played Pittsburgh too. Don't diminish the Indians achievements until you look at ours
  11. This is great - hope he continues to do well and makes us hesitate when Garver is ready to come back. Now let's bring another bat over from St Paul.
  12. I believe that it was usually in August that Berrios had his bad streak, I guess we should have expected to have a rough start since the season was mostly August. So now that is done - Berrios keep giving us your quality pitching like last night. Are we ready for Cleveland? Francona keeps them going.
  13. You just gave me a list I am okay with - DFA any of them. Make the team better and get our prospects playing.
  14. Sano would be the guy for me -- because I hate excessive Ks. Miguel has 7.9 WAR for six years - barely over the average player. For a man expected to be a star that is disappointing. His .191 BA is terrible and two years ago it was .199. Yes I am disappointed. Buxton has a WAR of 10.5 over the same time frame making him the more valuable. His defense is his calling card and he makes a difference. His bat shows flashes of potential, but it is not long enough for star material and speed will diminish in the next three years. So we have two players with unique talents - Sano power - Buxton fielding, but neither has made it to the star level yet and that is disappointing.
  15. Thorpe has been a mystery since Spring Training (the real one) and needs to be replaced. This team has 60 players, but you would never know it. Make changes - get some energy, put in some new arms, replace Cave and his one hit wonder year. Cleveland put to excellent pitchers out to pasture and keep on winning. Shake it up Baldelli.
  16. Actually the rotation with Berrios struggling is no longer the strength we thought it would be except for Dobnak and Maeda. Hill has pitched twice now, Bailey has disappeared, Pineda is still 11 days away. I still do not know why we have not called someone from the St Paul roster. The BP without Rogers has relied on Wisler and Duffey as much as anyone to save us. Thorpe should be replaced. Thielbar is a good story, but not ready for the playoffs. Acala has been the best story so far - is anyone else at St Paul that we can bring in?
  17. We need another quality reliever
  18. Wouldn't it have been nice to have Kiriloff, Rooker, or Larnach on the bench? It's time to call someone up - we almost ran out of position players.
  19. I think Rogers is the story line - not because of this one game, but because his season has shaken our faith in him, like Garver leading off, Rogers has, at least temporarily, lost the position as closer for many of us. His WAR for the season is -0.3 and his ERA is 4.82 with a WHIP of 1.393. Are we using our RP too much - with the two BP games on top of double headers? I am delighted that Alcala is shining. We need that.
  20. I really agree that Taylor Rogers is joining Berrios as a disappointment this year. We need both of them to get their mojo back.
  21. Whether an Ace or a number 1 - it is a pitcher that stops losing streaks, that holds the team together even when the stuff is not at its best. This is what we had with Radtke, Kaat, Aquilera, Santana.
  22. Right now it is maeda - then Dobnak - then who ever is healthiest I don't have twitter and could not vote
  23. Finally we are beating the last place team. Cruz leads the way and shows what you do to inferior talent.
  24. I think we do not have one. We have Odo on a comeback and we hope he will keep getting better, we have Berrios who should be, but has trouble getting a full season of quality, we have Hill who is on a once a month rotation, we have Bailey who is AWOL, and we have Dobnak who has nothing that you want in an ace except the ability to win.
