  1. That would make him one of our better pitchers nowadays.
  2. Great roundup, Steve. I don't know much about his prospect rep, but Yovanny Duran is having a great season thus far for the FCL Twins. Batting .318 with a .452 OBP, plus those 30 steals in 31 attempts. Gotta say, I'm very intrigued by this kid.
  3. The oddest thing for me about their 2026 draft class, is surely the fact the Twins assembled an entire roster stable of battery mates only in the top 10 rounds. That certainly was an odd early start to the draft, and very un-Twins like ... but I like it!
  4. Very true, Jackson has been one of the more pleasant surprises for the Twins this season, although he still hasn't played that many games. I think most of us had very low expectations that he would even be a serviceable backstop, but he is holding his own so far.
  5. Buxton remains the heart and soul of the Twins. Hopefully, these annoyingly persistant trade rumors will soon evaporate.
  6. I keep wondering about that. How real is the possibility that MLB won't be played next season, or we have to endure another shortened season? And will this threat truly prevent the Twins from calling up some of their top prospects? Seems like a lot of variables at play and my head is spinning.
  7. Plus, it would be helpful to see him play a few games in our organization before we start all this ranking nonsense.
  8. Keep on spinning that wheel. Hopefully another one of these guys will stick.
  9. How He Got Here: Houston entered the 2025 MLB Draft as one of the most intriguing college bats available. I always thought that his fielding skills were the more intriguing part of his profile. But obviously I'm very happy that he seems to be developing some good hitting tools too.
  10. I'm just happy to see the Twins drafting more college pitchers in these early rounds. I know next to nothing about these young pitchers, but as others have already said; the more good arms the better we should be.
  11. Yes to that. Larnach's value has probably never been higher, so trade for anything reasonable. We could obviously use an MLB-ready arm, but I'll take a prospect too.
  12. You gotta trade a few of these guys, especially if it's unlikely that we can't or won't sign Ryan and Jeffers to extensions. There is a demand for their services, so the Twins NEED to listen. And trade guys like Larnach when their value will never be higher. I like Bell a lot, but if they aren't planning on signing him again next season, he needs to be moved too.
  13. Very good article. I especially liked Taj Bradley's quote about the value of Caratini. Having a catcher that the pitching staff is comfortable with, and has confidence in, is a huge plus.
  14. Simmons got a lot of flack from many Twins fans on this board that season, but overall he did a pretty good job on the field.
  15. It may take more than one reliable relief pitcher, but I appreciate you optimism!
  16. Like Tampa Bay, the Twins are built around run prevention ... Not sure about that. That statement would imply that the Twins either have a lights-out group of pitchers and/or we have a bunch of gold-glove candidates. We are a long way from Tampa Bay in that respect. But apologies if I'm reading something into that statement that you didn't mean. The Twins obviously SHOULD be aiming for more run prevention, but I don't see that happening.
