    I'm optimistic about Morris too. I still think he could be a viable starter, but having him in the bullpen (if they don't send him down again next week) should be good experience for him.

    I'm happy to see Martin performing well so far this season. Keep him in the outfield for sure. I'd still love to see him as a regular starter, but with this logjam in the outfield I guess he will have to take what playing time he can,

    This bullpen will be in a state of flux for a few more months. I have no idea who the "closer" will be come August, and I'm not sure that it matters at this point. Sure, a guy like Duran would be great to close out games, but until we find that magical arm it will be a game of trial and errors.

    Good point. A few months after that trade most of us were crying the blues. Mahle was injured and then Steer and CES were looking impressive in Cincy. Things change quickly. In retrospect, that was a trade that looked good for the Twins, at least in the hope that Mahle would solidify the rotation.. But hey, that is the quirky game of baseball. You take your chances and hope for the best.

    Congratulations to Mr. Shelton! So far, I have been impressed with his job as the new Twins manager. Winning games counts for a lot!

    Thanks for these minor league reports. Love reading these updates. Culpepper (the pitcher) is indeed looking good thus far.

    I sincerely thought the Twins would be competitive this season, but this early season performance has been a pleasant surprise. I hope this stuff is sustainable, at least from the starting pitchers. Keep it coming!
