    I'm still waiting on a full season of health for Soto. Obviously, he has tons of potential. Even though he's still young, I'm getting impatient.

    Another detailed roundup, Seth, Many thanks. I will also be curious to see Riley Quick does at the AA level. His strikeout totals are impressive thus far, and if he can limit the walks and base hits (ha! I suppose that's the magic formula for most pitchers!) we can start to get excited.

    Shift Mike Paredes to the Bullpen, and End the Woo-Suk Go Experiment Sending Paredes to the bullpen might make sense, but the so-called "Woo-Suk Go experiment" has only lasted 2 innings thus far. I doubt he will end up being a bullpen stalwart, but give the guy a chance. It's too soon to call him a failure.

    Hey, last year we traded away most of our bullpen, so why not follow it up by trading most of our catchers too! But honestly, I think they need to try and trade Jeffers, seeing as how he'll be a free agent next season and the Twins seemingly are not going to be able, or willing, to sign him again.

    It DOES make sense. Larnach finally has some trade value, so I think the Twins need to trade him this season. Not only do we have Jenkins waiting in the wings, but also Rodriguez and Mendez. Too many cooks in the kitchen.

    I didn't realize that either. I knew that Abel had surgery, but I don't recall reading any updates about when or if he would be coming back this season.

    Great roundup, Steve. I don't know much about his prospect rep, but Yovanny Duran is having a great season thus far for the FCL Twins. Batting .318 with a .452 OBP, plus those 30 steals in 31 attempts. Gotta say, I'm very intrigued by this kid.

    The oddest thing for me about their 2026 draft class, is surely the fact the Twins assembled an entire roster stable of battery mates only in the top 10 rounds. That certainly was an odd early start to the draft, and very un-Twins like ... but I like it!

    Very true, Jackson has been one of the more pleasant surprises for the Twins this season, although he still hasn't played that many games. I think most of us had very low expectations that he would even be a serviceable backstop, but he is holding his own so far.

    Buxton remains the heart and soul of the Twins. Hopefully, these annoyingly persistant trade rumors will soon evaporate.

    I keep wondering about that. How real is the possibility that MLB won't be played next season, or we have to endure another shortened season? And will this threat truly prevent the Twins from calling up some of their top prospects? Seems like a lot of variables at play and my head is spinning.

    How He Got Here: Houston entered the 2025 MLB Draft as one of the most intriguing college bats available. I always thought that his fielding skills were the more intriguing part of his profile. But obviously I'm very happy that he seems to be developing some good hitting tools too.

    Morris is becoming a VERY reliable arm in the bullpen. Let's find more of those guys!
