  1. If you take away the uninformed opinions or worrying about things that haven't happened there wouldn't be much left. I'm sure most find what's happening to the Twin unbearable. When the organization is secretive and can't even articulate a direction forward posting opinions gives people some sense of control? Maybe? As fans we need to talk about something. Some puppies and kittens would be nice sometimes. DREAMING OF A WORLD SERIES
  2. We used to have a theme song but I'm not sure if the fans sang it.
  3. I had forgotten that quote but that was part of why I didn't want the Twins to resign him. That's quite the rant but I've thought all of it myself and posted some of it and gotten many thumbs down. I wonder how many attitudes have changed?
  4. My big complaint about the Twins the past two years isn't the not winning. Winning is good but more important is playing well as a team, doing things well, fielding, throwing running, hitting in clutch situations. AND a manager that has good instincts about how to use the players. Before the trade deadline, although some players excelled individually at times. the Twins played like they weren't a team. After the deadline they played like a AA team that wasn't playing like a team.
  5. Baldelli may have been made a scapegoat but we was also a horrible manager that deserved to be fired. "At the end of the day, Baldelli’s teams won" In the era of the "Bomba Squad" when he didn't have to make so many decisions. At the beginning of the season the Twins were picked by many sources to win the division. If everyone had played at their best half the time they would have competed. The manager sets the tone and should utilize players in a way that builds on their strengths and builds confidence. Baldelli managed like a robot that was run by a random number generator. He acted like he didn't care and they played liked they didn't care. he was obsessed with analytics and had no ability to make decisions based on human instincts. Because the Twins were so painful to watch I watched a lot of other teams this year. It became so clear just how inept Rocco was. There is a question as to how many managerial decisions were being passed down by Falvey. No one really knows how much. I doubt Falvey called 30 times and told him to pinch hit Margo or pull a pitcher doing well after 5 with a decent pitch count. They made him a scapegoat. He was an awful manager.
  6. I think everyone's so bummed they are taking anti-depresserants and didn't notice.
  7. So many people talk about Falvey dictating what Baldelli did? What do we really know? I know nothing. Did Falvey make Baldelli pinch hit Margot 30 times? does he call and have him pull a pitcher after 5 even though pitch count is low and he's doing OK? Is the obsession with analytics coming just from Falvey? I wish I knew. Does anyone really know how involved the owners are beyond "Save me money" ? Do owners even care about selling tickets, etc? Is their potential financial gain tied to future revenue sharing or something like that? There's a lot I don't know. Does anyone have actual inside information?
  8. Not until the owners get this kind of change.

  10. I like how many baseball fans have sentimental favorites. I feel the same about Polanco.
  11. The Twins post season has never been in the bag.
  12. I've been watching the Red Sox some this year, especially enjoying the rivalry with the Yankees, the only team I truly hate. I was pulling for a Blue Jays win yesterday for that reason. I used to try to hate our competitors in the division but decided it didn't make sense to me. I like the Midwest in general and I admire Cleveland's team particularly. Being a very old traditionalist I look down expansion teams. I like that the AL Central is one of two divisions with only one expansion team. Being a Twins fans since 1961 I have a strong preference for the AL. Boston/New York and Cleveland/Detroit will be my favorites to watch.
  13. 😄👍 I have those kind of vindictive streaks too. That's what's fun about baseball.
  14. Enjoy the post season. That's All Folks! (Best one on YouTube) [360p].mp4
  15. "I hope that the minority partners, once revealed, have the capacity to change things at One Twins Way." There seems to be a lot of posts expressing hope that the minority owners will save the Twins or steer them in a better direction. I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes but I see no reason to see these minority owners as anything other than investors providing cash to resolve debt now with the expectation of cashing in when the team sells at a higher price in the future. If the minority owners were going to be revealed wouldn't it have happened already? If Buxton wants to go I'm sure they will choose saving the money and taking another long shot "prospect".
  16. I can only access this website from one of my devices. It's probably still down for many. Or it could just be nobody wants to post.
  17. With the later you have the satisfaction of making everyone around you miserable.
  18. All of that makes a lot of sense. The Ryan part seems clear to a lot of people but the Lewis part I've never heard expressed that way. His flashes of brilliance were too long to be a fluke but he sucks for extended periods. I don't think he is thriving under the current regime. Actually I think that's the teams problem as well.
  19. Every time I've heard his name the past 4 years I've said "Silently" that Jose has more rights than anyone on the team.
  20. Apparently. No one every talks about him. I'm surprised they didn't give him another chance after the purge. Why keep giving Julien playing time and not look at Miranda again. He's still on the 40. Not hitting well in STP this year but maybe a new start? Didn't he play a lot of 1st base in 22?
