  1. Bailey has been good for the most part since making his debut. He added volume last year, and believes in himself. I think an extension would take a lot more money than your talking.
  2. Kirilloff is the only one of the four that I have any confidence will have a future with the Twins. I think Gorden gets claimed off the wavier wire, and Larnach and Miranda get included in trades. I just don't see any place for those three to get playing time.
  3. relievers can be fickle, but this group certainly appears to have potential.
  4. I don't think Boras would go for it. He bets on his players, and will want to see a couple big years. Then he will go for the big bucks. Don't think the Twins should do it until he shows some durability.
  5. Another utility player is the last thing this team needs.
  6. He has a hard time staying healthy. I read somewhere that he's had Tommy John surgery twice among various other injuries. If he stays healthy there's hope. There must be something of value there as Milwaukee kept him through 3 years of being injured before giving up on him.
  7. Their not going to commit to a long term contract for anyone now. If they do that, there wont be anything left for any of the young guys in a couple years.
  8. Royce is my #3 hitter no matter who is pitching. Correa is ok at 1st vs lefthanders assuming his hitting problems last year were caused by his foot problem. Julien is good vs right handers. I like polo at #2 but I'm not sure he will be here.
  9. If I remember correctly back problems were a problem for him after 1965.
  10. Pretty much agree with these !st 5. I would have to put Walker at #4 and move the 2-4 up a notch just because 26 games and 115 PA's. Let him perform that way through 400+ PA at high A and I'll be all for putting him #1.
  11. I'm with the ones who think Duran is to low. I was never really on the Wallner train but after watching him play and really looking at what he did in the minors I think he has a lot room to grow and become a force for the team. (At least until his bat slows down a little, then the K's become unsustainable)
  12. They should stay in touch with him. If Miranda or one of the other young Twins is included in a trade for pitching he could fill a role for the team at an affordable price.
  13. Rumor has it the Twins shut off their phone and internet to save money, and making trades by mail is to slow. Therefor I don't see them making any trades.
  14. Nice story Seth, thanks. I think Kody has a chance to stick in a MLB bullpen for a long time.
  15. If they intend to keep Gorden and Castro They don't need a backup. Unless they are willing to spend some money I doubt they can get anyone better than those two for a couple million.
  16. Replace him in the aggregate, and then when the broadcast money gets settled keep some cash available so an ace type pitcher can be traded for at the deadline.
  17. I'm not opposed to him, but going up to 20M on a one year contract means you would have given him a qualifying offer. I don't think any team would go there.
  18. I may be wrong, but I think for the Twins to get a draft pick he would need to sign a contract for 50M or more. I doubt he gets that so I'd have to say no. Offer him 12-15M and see what he says.
  19. But until that happens, fans should sit back and enjoy the ride - especially if it comes with the best entrance music and light show of anyone in the game. I think the show the team puts on for his entrance gives the fans the expectation of perfection. On the rare times he fails it makes some fans doubt him.
  20. As bad as yesterdays move was, I thought Sundays lack of a move was worse. Letting Vazquez hit in the bottom of the ninth when Jeffers was sitting in the bench was truly moronic.
  21. I think your a tad optimistic here, but i do think they have a good chance of ending the losing streak. One thing puzzles me though. Exactly what corner do you think Buxton is turning?
  22. Couldn't agree more. Info is moved all over the place constantly. By the time you find what your looking for the at bat is over. I also agree about the noise, you have to pick your spots to have any kind of conversation. Maybe their just trying to get people to look up from their phones. This was our first game this year so you can blame me for the loss if you want. Pablo looked great but the hitting uninspired. Seems to happen every time their in position for a sweep.
  23. Don't understand why Sonny isn't #1. He out pitched Pablo in every stat you listed except wins. Its not his fault the pen can't seem to hold the slim leads he often hands off to them.
  24. I keep going back and forth on "Bring on the playoffs" and "I hope Cleveland wins this thing so we don't get embarrassed in the playoffs, and continue the losing streak" . After the last two games I'm more firmly in the latter.
