  1. It's probably too soon to be concerned about Brock Stewart; however, we certainly need him to return to form.
  2. What is SO encouraging about Wallner is he is squaring up breaking balls which were his Achilles heel at the start of the season.
  3. Julien is a relatively simple call...but Martin, man oh man, that's tough. This is a good problem to have.
  4. We all know the biggest need is another starter; especially with Paddack on the shelf, again. Between Varland moving to the pen down the stretch and possibly Paddack as well, I feel like the Twins are in great shape with the bullpen.
  5. I'd say SWR has "graduated" to our 4th starter. Not bad, when he was the 6th or 7th starter in spring training.
  6. When Royce Lewis, Miranda and Correa are all off the DL (hopefully not too long from now) and with Lee on the roster, what else is there to do with Farmer? One way or another, I think that is when he is no longer a Twin.
  7. I think you are quite wrong. Falvey is winning in a medium sized market and has, overall, made the Twins better than when he got there. Take a look at the minor leagues and the Twins have reinforcements on the way and legitimate depth. Falvey is a good get for MANY organizations.
  8. A mind boggling play and the way he laid out to make the tag; wow! And you have to believe that play will be included in the ceremony.
  9. Very well stated. I think the best thing that can happen for the Twins is for Lopez to return to form. He has pitched well in (I believe) 3 of has last 4 starts. That gives the Twins 3 very solid starters and backed by two decent starters. Another starter to improve our depth is something the front office ought to pursue.
  10. I know they made the move for Castillo; however, for the short term, I would have thought Julien would be called up.
  11. no doubt, this is what, I think, most of us were hoping...that Brooks Lee could be a good 2nd bagger. Wow!
  12. That's how i see it as well. Unless things change (which of course they can/will), the Twins top 3 starters look like good playoff starters. I agree with the premise that the Twins need another playoff worthy starter, but I don't feel like that starter needs to be better than Ober as the cost is likely prohibitive. What's funny is that it seems like the general consensus before the season started is that the Twins were one good starter from having a playoff competitive team. Seemingly, that remains the case. Stewart, Paddock and Varland likely bolster the pen and the hitting just needs to avoid injuries!
  13. So cool for Willi Castro. And a very nice article!
  14. Buxton's double freaked me out he was moving so fast. He is an electrifying player. I know, I know...when healthy.
  15. Bad timing on this comment. I think he walked twice yesterday. But yes, his k/walk ratio isn't great. But what we are getting is excellent.
