  1. If Houghton is called up from low A to play CF, something is up with Keirsey (injury, personal reasons??).
  2. No. Clemens has played great, including on defense. He can play, to my eyes, well in LF, RF, 2B and 1B. Eeles can play 2B. I see him in box scores at SS but I also see him making errors in those box scores. Eeles will not be called up this year.
  3. But the Orioles want him back more than the Twins and were willing to trade for him to get him back.
  4. After Festa and SWR, Morris certainly is next. Then, it gets murky. I would say Adams(is on the 40 man so could actually get called up before Morris), Lewis, Dobnak. Prielipp is only pitcher in Wichita who could be ready (Baker maybe if we think 2 months of good pitching in his pro career is a sure thing) but he needs a giant piggy-back. Raya isn't ready.
  5. THIS is why we shouldn't trade Paddack as an article on TD suggested.
  6. Lewis can't pull the ball and doesn't have the power (currently) to hit it out to center field. Thus, a lot hard fly outs to CF.
  7. We had an article that the clubhouse is really down because the Twins send guys to the minors one day early (I don't believe it's affecting the clubhouse). I think trading Paddack would actually affect the clubhouse as they see him as one of the keys to our season.
  8. Not really a note on prospects but the Twins released Mike Ford, the player with the most AB's in St. Paul. Wonder if that means Sabato is moving up to AAA.
  9. Alcala is clogging up the pen. The Twins barely dare to try pitch him when the game means something (and it usually blows up in their face). We like to us the 8th spot in the pen to get a long reliever up for a few days. Very lucky (or maybe knowledgable) with Paddack pitching so deep in yesterdays game. It saved the pen. One of these days we are going to truly burn up the pen when a starter can't get out of the 2nd inning because we don't have that long reliever.
  10. No discussion at all, which surprised me. Maybe they thought Arozarena is a better strikeout candidate??
  11. If we are pinch hitting for Lewis because he can't hit, why is he playing? Why is not in St. Paul? I think he'll be good again but he needs a reset in the minors.
  12. I don't think the Twins will start with any of our minor league catchers. The question is then, if one gets hurt next year, who is the third guy. Camargo is on the 40 man, so I picked him. I'm thinking Clemens is a free agent at the end of the year. Could be totally wrong as I never checked. If he's not, I would revise things and include him with the top 3. He's either on an incredible hot streak or we found a real baseball player.
  13. 1. Keaschall 2. Rodriguez 3. Martin 4. Jenkins 5. Julien 6. Kiersey 7. Camargo 8. McCusker 9. Eeles The top 3 are the ones I really think will be on the Twins. Sure would be nice if Jenkins was healthy and able to come to the Twins in 2026. Dalton Shuffield from your list would truly be a miracle since he retired :)
  14. Saw the headline and immediately thought this article was directed at @Peter
  15. I'm actually surprised we didn't call up an innings eater for today in case the game goes south early. The Twins are sure wishing they could send Alcala to St. Paul without risking losing him. At some point, just have to do it and see what happens.
  16. Lewis or Bride. Lewis needs to get more confidence, both in his legs and hitting. St. Paul is a great place to do that. For both of them, other than injury, I don't see any spot they would have added to the team last night by coming into the game. Neither of them is hitting well, they don't run well, and they aren't better on defense than the players on the field.
  17. The Mariners win by using speed off the bench to pinch run for Garver. Without Kiersey, you see how slow the Twins bench is (Jeffers, France, Lewis and Bride).
  18. Wallner now 3 for 4 against Miller lifetime, with 3 homers!!
  19. That one day could potentially help the Twins in the long run. Teams have manipulated service time forever so they avoid that potential huge bump in pay or a player going to free agency. If it's the industry standard, I don't have a problem with it. For most of us, we didn't even come close to sniffing a day in the bigs and would have been elated to even be up there for a few days and get a hit like McCusker did.
  20. Rodriguez getting pulled is almost never a good thing. Didn't hurt his thumb again batting in his last AB did he? Can we be so lucky that it's an illness and he will quickly recover?
  21. The Kyle Farmer trade still paying dividends in a "3 degrees of Kevin Bacon" type of way. The Twins traded Casey Legumina to the Reds for Farmer. The Reds traded him to the Mariners and last night Legumina gave up the 6 runs in the 10th.
