    What to make of it? Nothing. It is an 8 year old injury that everyone knew about and other than one incident sliding into 2nd it's never caused him any issue in the majors.

    I would love to see a philosophy change: less reliance on the home run and more emphasis on small ball, making contact, using speed and bunts and stolen bases. I can't imagine that happening with current management though.

    Preferably not commit so many horrible base running blunders and stop admiring his hits and hustle out of the box would be great start.

    All Star selections are purely popularity contests as are Gold Gloves. But yes, keep convincing yourself this was a good deal.

    Your point is literally the only thing I can find solace in at this point in the offseason. They win=great. They lose and front office and management is gone=great..

    If someone cherry picks stats they can even make Joey Gallo look like a good move.

    Gallo is proven? Proven what? He has career .199 average and strikes out about 30% of the time. The Twins also have guys like Wallner, Celestino, and even Nick Gordon who can play outfield.

    I would literally rather see any other outfielder in the system get the at bats than Joey Gallo.

    Umm 2nd best is a definite stretch. With the changes to the shift I would still consider Kepler to be better at this point.

    They needed a right handed bat that's better than Garlick so they sign another lefty who can't hit and strikes out at a high percentage. Makes perfect sense. Typical Twins move.

    Another disaster like the past 2 seasons and this FO will be gone, so there is a bright side. I feel your pain though.

    I'm more interested in his ability to throw out runners with the rules adjustments to increase base-stealing.

    I'm planning to go to one of the opening weekend games in KC, hopefully the weather isn't too cold and miserable! At Kauffman I prefer to sit on the third base line behind the visitors dugout or behind the plate in one of the upper sections to get a good view.

    Would love to come but live too far away unfortunately. That pint glass is pretty cool though.
