  1. Suzuki pinch hitting for Vargas - more assinine managing.
  2. Brooks Pounders. He and Buddy Boshers could be the cornerstones of the silly bullpen.
  3. Just what the doctor ordered and then some. Could be a transformative hire for the organization, as long as they let him do his job.
  4. Well, if we don't win it's a shame. Hardly worth losing sleep over Masochism sounds much worse.
  5. I can only hope our new chief executive might have the level of critical acumen that most you folks at TD seem to have. Molly ain't dumb, but he is just a bad manager, period. To clarify, given the Twins situation, we need a manger who will help develop young players, and get the fundamentals sound. Sounds like TK.
  6. Taking Berrios out now? Well played Cretin, well played. This team ain't going nowhere with him in charge. Bert just crucified PM.
  7. Has Johan Santana officially retired? I'd bring him in to do a vulcan mind-meld with Berrios.
  8. I think fwar, fip, and wrc+ gets it done.
  9. Dammit Jose, just trust your stuff tonight, relax out there and have fun.
  10. Thanks for the nice highlight package there - considering most of those are from the last month or so, there is much to be encouraged about with Buxton's future.
  11. Hunter Greene would not address immediate problems, not that should be an issue in mlb drafts, but he looks like a phenomenon.
  12. Sounds like Falvey has even more experience than Andy did, and given his knowledge of the modern game, why not? Then again, monkeys might fly out of Rob Antony's butt.
  13. Thanks for brightening my day Pat Light!
  14. After today's 9-2 loss. batting averages Sano .236 Kepler .234 Buxton .221 Maybe he'll catch them both ....
  15. Shoring up the defense and the fundamentals could shave 1/2 a run off the team ERA. Errors are deflating to a pitcher, and a team as a whole. If Turner or Garver is our best defensive catcher, they should get the job. Add maybe a mild hitting defensive wizard at short(Vielma?), and with Buxton, you got some spine in your defense.
  16. Class of 2012: 2 Buxton 32 Berrios 37 Light - BOS 42 Bard 63 Melatokis 72 Chargois 97 Walker 160 Duffey 310 Baxendale 340 Rogers WE've already got more out of that draft than one would eapect, with quite a bit of potential going forward.
  17. I hope he gets a Ron Meshbesher to plead his case, because, to quote Dan Rather, "The people of Washington could not be more surprised if Fidel Castro came loping across the midwestern prairie on the back of a hippopotamus."
  18. Twins sign Nolasco....
  19. Advanced stats are like magic. I keep reading what a crap defender Dozier is, but when I watch, he seems to make a lot of very good plays. Now I'm seeing the same with Polanco: been watching a fair amount lately. and have actually been impressed with his play at short, especially given the circumstances. I must need glasses.
  20. My hope is that th Twins will one day return to being an organization that relies on guys they've drafted and developed as opposed to the AAAA filler they've relied on thru these dark years. Hopefully Wiel can be part of this.
  21. Took him a couple games to shake that Twins stank off....
  22. Vargas needs to be the 1B going forward.
  23. Relief provided by 2010 1st rounder, 2012 2nd rounder. Looked good too.
  24. After a couple of meh seasons, I hadn't realized to what level Justin Verlander has rebounded. Good for him: 200IP, 156 hits allowed, 216 K.
  25. Just saw old friend Pedro Florimon enter the game as a pinch runner for the Pirates. He was referred to by Reds' announcers as "a speedster."
