  1. I love the multitude of runs but we have to be honest. I’ve never seen so many 6 hoppers make it through the infield. We will take the batted ball luck.
  2. Kody is a competent or better fielder at 4-5 different positions. I don’t doubt he could handle third if they needed. Very few players can do that but a lot of teams try. The reason they move around is they are not particularly adept at any one position so it’s a way of extracting value. I personally don’t like watching it because I enjoy elite defense. If a guy is good at a spot, they won’t move him around.
  3. I believe Kreidler is 28 so he’s not some ancient guy out there. May be part of the improvement in hitting is opportunity. Some guys that can’t hit have bad swings and fundamental flaws: Kreidler actually looks like a hitter from the standpoint that his swing is sound. Run him out there and see what we have.
  4. And Kreidlers play was “worth” more than one out. That inning had the look of those innings that blow up on Taj and Kreidler basically snuffed it out
  5. In all my too many years of watching ball I don’t ever remember a team batting around on consecutive innings. I’m sure it’s happened but it has to be rare. Gleeman just tweeted that In the last 40 games Keaschall is hitting 302 with a 400 OBP. And more walks than strikeouts.
  6. Respectfully why would Jeffers sign that contract? He’s 29 somebody is going to give him a 5 year in the neighborhood of $75 million.
  7. Two things: they have to activate Rojas today and cut Lawrence, right? Second, game is on Peacock: Pricks.
  8. I remember him from when I was a kid. I did not remember that he was late in his career with the Twins.
  9. Shoulder stuff is always worrisome. Modern medicine can fix elbows but shoulders seem more problematic.
  10. This is particularly stupid. Guy is out there screwing around.
  11. I hate the position player pitching thing. It’s a joke especially when every team has 13 pitchers.
  12. Yep. Hidden cost of having guys like him in the pen. Should have been a laugher and now we are going through our pen to finish the game.
  13. Okay. I’m trying to think of a Twins pitcher with worse control. Samuel Deduno comes to mind but I think he had considerably better control than this guy.
  14. Agreed. However the game will get over at 2:30 am with a final score of 16-12
  15. I have been anti Raya for a long time. But the idea that you want this guy over him at this point is crazy.
  16. So you come into a 16-2 game and walk the first batter. He has no idea where his pitches are going ever.
  17. Keaschall ends up in the left hand batters box after most swings. That cannot be good.
  18. Interesting that Martin wouldn’t come in at this point.
  19. How many 6 hoppers can make it through an infield?
  20. This is nuts. I hope they aren’t using up all their batted ball luck
  21. Taj has nasty stuff. If he can tighten up his command he could be special.
  22. Man I strongly dislike this announcing pair. It’s like listening to a couple of junior high schoolers.
