    Yea I had the misfortune to listen to a game on the radio. The guy never shuts up. He is really bad.

    The only thing I will say in the Twins defense is NY has had some real duck farts fall for hits in both games early. Of course some rockets as well. Their hitters sure look different than ours with two strikes on them. We continue to struggle in the field - it would be nice for our fielders to help a pitcher out once in a while instead of giving extra bases and outs to the Yanks

    The Yankee at bats look much more competitive than our at bats. If the Twins are going to beat this lineup they can’t butcher plays in the field like Farmer and Margot in the first inning.

    People are way overthinking this thing. The Twins made a complete mess of the TV situation. It’s literally their job to make this stuff work. It’s called customer engagement. It’s not my job to switch providers multiple times and pay exorbitant prices for that pleasure. It’s their job to bring the product to the customer. Anybody that says anything different is a shill for the Pohlads.

    They’ve really been as advertised. Starting pitching has been pretty good but not as good as last year. Bullpen a little better and offense streaky. Adds up to a 88-90 win team. Our perspective is different because the Central isn’t a patsy this year. Royce and an easier schedule should make things a little better.

    Because that’s not enough. Schobel is a marginal prospect and there are a lot of questions about Raya.

    Absolutely the correct decision. Both for the Twins near term and Eddys long term.

    Would definitely be interested but would not include Lee Em Rod or Jenkins. Would include Julien if they are interested and would also throw in one of Varland Festa or Raya.

    So who televised the game? Came in to catch the last half the of the game only to discover the $120 per month I pay Direct Stream didn’t include this game. Unreal.

    I remember him as a light hitting glove first guy that was a magician at turning the double play. He would receive the feed and the ball was on the way to first before you could blink an eye.

    Want to know how valuable he has been this year? Imagine what we would be rolling out there if he wasn’t on the squad. He’s gonna get a nice bump in arbitration but if the Pohlads can’t pony up for that then just sell the damn team.

    Actually the strong side of the platoons have stunk. Larnach is showing signs of life but Julien Kiriloff and Wallner have stunk and they get 75% of the at bats so the problem isn’t limited to Farmer Margot and Santana.

    Julien or Kiriloff. And it’s not punishment like some people think. Both might be part of our future but both need to hit. I’m not sure letting their confidence get obliterated in the big leagues is helpful right now. One aspect of the platoon discussion is that it isn’t only the short side platoon players that have disappointed. Julien and Wallner have been really bad and Larnach only recently reviving himself.

    This is my concern as well. I fear the Twins will move Keaschal around in the name of positional flexibility and he won’t get good anywhere. As we’ve seen with other players if you don’t end up being a good fielder and start sliding down the defensive spectrum it raises the bar for how well you have to hit. Plus you can only roster so many 1st base / DH types.

    You must not watch the games or look at the stats.

    Julien has no chance against a lefty. Win the game - this isn’t AAA. We are in a dogfight in the division.

    Margot put the ball in play and they scored a run. Better than Julien striking out looking. It was the right call by Rocco. I get the b*tching when things don’t work but it literally worked out as drawn up.

    I don’t think it was a language barrier issue. We’ve all said things we wish we could take back. Neither situation is that big of a deal. López seems like he is in a bad place and I wish him the best.

    If the money is small enough that you can walk away from it then it’s not so bad. Donaldson was the worst in my opinion as it was a lot of money and it didn’t make sense at the time. Thankfully the FO slithered out of that deal with only minor pain.

    I think people got way over their skis on these guys. MLB is really hard - other teams find your weaknesses and exploit them ruthlessly. That’s why TKs mantra of you don’t know what you have until they get 1000-1500 at bats. Neither Wallner or Julien will be as good as their second half last year. Chances are neither is as bad as they look right now. We will see where they end up and if that level of production is worth their mediocre fielding profiles. I am not confident that Varland has the secondary offerings to be a starter in the bigs but am confident he can be a useful bullpen piece.

    KC must have a tell on Ober although his command was off. Two subtle defensive plays that cost the Twins two runs in the early going. Julien knocked down a grounder where he should have got the lead runner but just took the out at first. That runner then scored on a single I believe and then Larnach misplaying the ball off the fence allowed all runners to move up an extra base. It wouldn’t have mattered but the game would have been different for sure. I feel bad for Jorge López. He is obviously not in a good place - I hope he can get the help he needs.
