  1. Byron Buxton said in an interview earlier that he strongly dislikes being DH and not playing every day, in the field, ruins his timing. He was not lying.
  2. Let's see, Twins lose 11 to 0 with one hit against the White Sox, after a 12 to 2 stomping earlier, sounds like 80 wins is the very best they will get at this point.
  3. Miranda has totally negative numbers fielding, while Kirilloff is negative in left field and even in right, where they do not need any one ; they have had good bats for the past several weeks but lets see how that plays out after the All-Star game. Smalley went into the All-Star game with 20 home runs one year and finished the year with 24. Larnach has totally positive fielding numbers and Garlick has postitive numbers in left field where some one is need to be a regular. Miranda and Kirilloff are best trade bait if they try to get a better pitcher.
  4. Bremer is a goblin who can jinx batters.
  5. Good, bad or other wise, Buxton does not just try to put the ball in play such as Arraez, Gordon reminds me of Buxton without as much muscle.
  6. Do not put the cart in front of the horse.?
  7. Jeffers is climbing back up toards the Mendoza line.
  8. Not hitting as many Bombas yet but he hit 21 doubles last year and already has 12 this year with 46 rbi. Your fabled rookies would be below the Mendoza line.
  9. More like a bounce to the short stop.
  10. What magic says they can even hit major league pitching?
  11. No, the player with the bat controls whether or not those on base score, simple as that.
  12. Arrh, Gordon at short and Jeffers catching.
  13. Rookies from the minors are not owed a spot, no one is filling for any one , except on the occasion a veteran is on IL and the spot is temporarily filled. The rookies earn their spot, at this point Gordon and all the rest have earned their place on the field IF they play, NO rookie is taking any thing from any one. If they do not play , then it is because management thinks some one else should be there, even if we think that is not right.
  14. The game is over, time to move on.
  15. Wow, according to gamecast, not a single strike in the strike zone.
  16. Well , it was a boost for Garlick and Gordon's batting average.
  17. Gordon and Garlick are as key as any one on the team.
  18. Why the player changes, not pitchers, this late in a game?
  19. I have no idea why any one would put Kirilloff in that group, before Larnach slumped, for what ever reason, I would have put him there as far as batting.
  20. The word trust is a misnomer, expectations is what players try to perform up to, for coaches and fans.
  21. Look at the video, there was no one any where near 2nd base, if any thing it was an under throw. Had he thrown to second it would have been a single out at best. he was trying to throw to third base.
  22. It went within a few feet of exactly where he wanted it to go.
