  1. As I said it is wishful thinking; the Pohlads know what they have, they have been burned by crap-shoot retreads, they are not going to bring up a bunch of rookies and hope for the best. So far their minor league rookies have been mediocre as a whole.
  2. It would be sweet if he were the Twins version of De La Cruz; in the Big Show before he is 22.
  3. They should make them use Little League Baseballs and Soft Ball Bats.
  4. When the Twins were winning earlier this year, they got third rate coverage on the evening sports news; if they go back to losing 100 games, they will get less coverage than Legion baseball games.
  5. Well Kep is still the 3rd fastest Twin playing regularly, I looked at the factors for running speed and they simply cannot measure base stealing due to number of sprints necessary to measure. At that, Kep has the same number of Bolts as Polanco, so that says a bit about why he can steal as well as Polanco, or could.
  6. WOW, the Polanco, who is on a list of the worst SS ever on MSN, should still be playing SS, LOL. You simply dislike Kepler , your rhetoric says so. or he would not be the only player you say is the problem. You have your opinion and I have mine, we do not agree; end of discussion.
  7. An 88 mph fastball was not much 40 years ago. Players have been watch films of pitchers before I was born. Patterns , trajectories and routes are as new as the day baseballs were no longer soft. Baseball has changed with each new regulation differing from the past. Same crap, different pile is all it is.; what is missing is Satchel Paige types and knuckleballers. I am sure modern modes would not allow them to be the best among the best they were, mathematical formulas would say they cannot do what they did. Same crap, different piles.
  8. Really replacing a player who had 4 errors in Right Field in 8 years in the minors with some who had 26 errors in Right Field in 4 years in the minors is sacrificing SOME defense, LOL. OK, I should have said wearing blinders, not tunnel vision.
  9. Based on what fact, not opinion.
  10. In 2021 Kepler was 10--0 stealing bases, tied for second most with Gordon and one behind Polanco; I do not think he has lost much speed if any, I think his attitude has changed for some reason. As players coming to the Twins are now dropping, instead having a better season, I am with the group that think their coaching, top to bottom, is a major part of the problem.
  11. ONE player is the problem and solution, amazing case of tunnel vision caused by dislike for a person. Some want to put lead glove Wallner out there, brilliant.
  12. So then only bad options exist?
  13. Failure is staying ahead,? We are ahead of what?
  14. Analogy does not work, what they do is their situation, not the Twins, unless you think Ks are a sign of good batting skills.
  15. I said nothing about solution, but it seems you and others think removing him IS a solution to all Twins problems..
  16. Kepler has a low strike out rate on a team setting strike out records; he is the problem how?
  17. Hmm, trade a poor hitting team with good fielding for a poor hitting team with lead gloves.😂
  18. I agree with you to a point there. There is no sparkplug vet. to get them going through low points. At that, if Correa tries to help one, I can see them saying, I already have a better BA than you do.
  19. Without serious fielding drills, he will never work through his struggle, although his Minor League fielding numbers say, for him to do so, would actually be a miracle.
  20. Pie-in-sky wishful thinking, at best. Pohlads have the Twins to make money, attendance is dropping, putting a team of crap-shoot newbies will not bring in any more fans. Bottom line, money; money comes from fans in the stands. The fact the Twins cannot hit, with either same veterans or newbies who are below what they were before they came here , shows that coaching may not be the only problem , but definatley a large part of it., but blaming the players and saying replacements will fix it , is illogical.
  21. I do not pretend to be a MLB expert, that is up the front office,, who do know that minor league is not the world of major league, therefore; breaking in a AAA coach is more of a learning exp. for him than improving what they have. It SEEMS, the current coaches results show that is not a good idea. Just my opinion.
  22. Coach with major league exp.
  23. AAA pitching is mostly NOT at the level of the Big Show.
  24. Is that not part of the reason they are where they are?
  25. Other teams will develope a new tactic -- hit it to the lead gloves who cannot throw straight, you will gain an extra base.
