  1. Julien is a gaping hole in defense which is why he was not the regular 2nd baseman, and was replaced for defense purposes.
  2. Garlick is already gone.
  3. They took a series from the Yankees and broke the post season curse. Definitely a success.
  4. The only two gents in the Twins Org. who most likely will be playing some where else are Gordon and Miranda. Not bad players but not good enough.
  5. Why on earth would they move Lewis who is a competent infielder to the outfield? They have Correa at SS and Lewis at Third, to change that would be obtuse. Martin, not in the near future.
  6. Which really means nothing as Taylors defense makes Juliens look like a Chinese Fire Drill.
  7. Zero chance of being moving on: Lopez, Correa and Buxton. Nowadays every one else is trade bait.
  8. Julien had 2 fewer strike outs than Taylor while playing 20 fewer games.
  9. Kirilloff is not a good first baseman and Miranda is no better. Buxton CANNOT be traded unless he agrees, period. Twins need a first rate first baseman; do not know if Gallo will be around next spring, but if he is, he is the best fielder at first the Twins have right now. Julien at first would lead the coaches to tightning their sphincter muscles every time a ball comes his way.
  10. And replace Kasas City at the bottom of the pile.
  11. It does not sound dumb, it sound like desperation. First base is not as easy as so many seem to think it is; Kirilloffs less than average play shows that.
  12. Curious why you like Bader. He seems to be as good , or better CF than Taylor but a lessor bat. In these threads where bat first is most common, whether pro with history or AAA rookie unknown, that seems like an outlier position.
  13. Oh heck, one of the Bull Pen can play there it is so easy.
  14. This might be more serious than his wrist. I destroyed my Labrum landscaping; the doctor asked what I was doing when it went kaput. I told him I was, literally, throwing sod rolls. He told me , my days of throwing sod rolls was over; he said they could fix it, this time, there would be no fixing it next time.
  15. Well Gallo is a far, far better fielder than Kirilloff; so keep Gallo around and when Kirilloff comes back, play Kirilloff till defense is of utmost importantance and then put Gallo in.👍
  16. Pain? I am still not done grieving over game 7 1965!
  17. No, it is ALL about getting back to the post season next year, not shooting craps with more rookies. Next year Kirilloff, Lewis, Wallner and Julien will have to show they can adjust to Major League pitchers adjusting to them. There is no room/time for being an extended AAA team for more rookies. Spring training will show who stays in the Org. and who will move on to other Orgs.
  18. Next year may determine if this was a flash in the pan or not. People like to put the 2019 success on the baseball used that year, in reality most of that team was gone by 2021. Change in team , change in results. IF, if 90 percent of this team, especially pitching, returns next year, season results will show if this is a long term top team or just another flash in the pan.
  19. Up here the Twins will have reached Big Boy status if the team gets front page news coverage from TV talking heads; right now the Twins are third page news. The TV talking heads, local news, spoke about them after babbling about the Vikings, Gophers and Wild all summer.
  20. That is what the Twins did in the Post Season; Jeffers had 2 hits 19 AB with 2 BB and 8 SO. Way below what he had been doing in Sept. but Baldelli rolled the dice and came up craps.
  21. I did not rate any one at any level.
