  1. Twins did fine without Buxton, they should do well without Lewis, but as I said , tomorrow will show it.
  2. Time for Stevenson to show he can hit in the Majors as well as he did in the Minors.
  3. Todays game is the opposite of yesterdays, and now that Lewis is gone tomorrow will show what the Twins are made of.
  4. Castro will be back next year , if not, the Twins FO has brain worms.
  5. Is there any logical reason the Reds are sending out so much of their pitching staff?
  6. This game has done wonders for his batting average.
  7. They paid them the money so they are going get their product.
  8. WOW, that one probably went as high as far. Casto home run.
  9. There was zero chance he could beat the throw so it makes sense.
  10. The watch the ball go by gremlin is showing up.
  11. Is Ryan, at this point for some reason, suffering from a demon that has hampered other Twins pitchers , past and present;: a great game followed by a game where he is kaput already in early innings.
  12. It is all could have, should have, would have but didn't ; the deal was done.
  13. Possibly defense and get-up-and-go, won over batting ability.
  14. So far at AAA, Gordon is what he was early in the year. I like the guy, maybe because he reminds me of Willie Mays Hays, but his future would be more secure with another team.
  15. Simple logic says bouncing off of a wall, is more dangerous than playing where there is no wall. How many twins went to the IL last year due to a wall??? I saw Tony Oliva rob a home run and bounce off of a HARD wall and act like nothing happened right infront of me, nowadays , it seems, too many do not have that durability. Every thing in this thread is based on opinion and personal hopes, but the wall and injury, is also a reality.
  16. Lewis, Kepler, Farmer and Kirilloff that is all she wrote.
  17. Starting to look like hoping the Twins take one of three.
  18. I think the five run lead is the only reason that was not challenged; replay looks like it was very close.
  19. He is still a good catcher but his batting skills have gone down the drain.
  20. Blaming Vazquez for Ryan's failures is silly.
  21. Just why does any one think Lewis, is going to be any where near as capable Center Fielder as Talylor or even Castro? He is good with a bat and has not been a disaster at Third base, so, instead of playing guessing games, leave him where he is doing well. The rookies that are doing well this year, or turned out to be flops were not straight up from AAA, this is already the third year for some, and by some Magic 8 Ball, so many here are going to fill the team with unknown rookies who could easily be another batch of Rooker, Larnach, Blankenhorn, Celestino etc., etc., etc. Good way to turn the Twins into the equivalent of Kansas City this year.
  22. In all probablility Castro and Taylor will be back even if Buxton is in fairly decent shape. How next spring does shape up though, should be quite intriguing
  23. Hopefully the Cincinatti games are not of extra importance but while they have been subject to blow-out losses they lost six of seven to Atlanta by one run each game and won one by one run, plus they took two out of three from the Dodgers. If they take two out of three from Cin. it is a good sign.
