    So What Now?

I understand what you are saying, BUT, here are Smiths first four Major League years: His SLG, OPS are some thing that would have so many here saying DFA, DFA, DAF.

    So What Now?

Multi-Gold Glove Andrelton Simmons played in todays game and was similar in skills to both. If you read his history his glove got him into the Major League; Defense still counts, a lot.

    So What Now?

Ozzie Smith and Bud Harrelson both were not good hitters but were GG and All Stars and played for at least 15 years, so being a top rank fielder should not be ignored good bat or not.

    So What Now?

Well the Twins let Rortvedt go and he is a well above average fielder (He threw a Twins runner out this week in a Spring Training game) but the FO let him go, SO, it seems they do not want to teach gents, for whom hitting is not a natural item, how to make it better.
  5. I did not say they were. They lost because few Twins playes hit the ball
  6. Only the rookies trying to impress front office.
  7. Twins tied it in the Ninth inning, which was a good thing. (No bs runner on second extra inning.)
  8. He keeps rookies who belong in AAA in AAA; A very smart move.
  9. Only 4 games but Goodrum is cruising along and Gerry Jr. , never heard of him, tied the game.
  10. Does not matter and the answer is: How many more.games would they lost if Wallner, Julien and Jeffers had 100 more at-bats?
  11. Rortvedt 2 for 2 before being replaced. I do not follow minor leagues the way many here do, but I have never heard a lot of names being put in the game as substitutios.

You are cherry picking, those three teams all had bomba squads and excellent pitching, you also ignored the Dodgers . Twins had good pitching through Free Agency and that is probably gone; the Front Office wants a bomba squad but three members of that are gone.
  13. What Dr. Gast says makes sense; Farmer is a Good Second Baseman, Julien is a Not Good Second Baseman. If Julien needs more practice then send him back to St.Paul, it is a long way from getting better to being good. Last season players were pulled not for their bat but because a good defense man was needed, and Julien is not the latter.
  14. I cannot see why they are looking at him but then I do not have their information, still seems odd.
  15. Twins are not a minor league training camp, he is on the field IF he earns his way and so far, that is not working out too well. It took three years before teams learned Santana was a good First Baseman and not a good catcher. In his first three years Kirilloff has shown he is not a good fielder any where, especially Left Field. With an increasing strike out rate, a lot not to like there. That is why Santana is here and Kirilloff may not be.
  16. Santana 2023 Kirilloff 2023 Defense Santana Kirilloff Sanatan is not here to just fill in; Front Office said they were looking for First Baseman and this is why.
