  1. Baldelli still knows which pitchers can lose the game, and uses them.
  2. Jeffers does seem to learn the hard-way but so far he has seemed to learn.
  3. The old, real Jeffers is back.
  4. Mets would end up getting Lewis, Julien, Wallner and any other rookie who started Major League game for the past two years, minimum, then favre would come back and win the Super Bowl for the Vikings.
  5. Or he could end up like Larnach , if with the Twins, a regular in St. Paul, and not much more.
  6. Next spring, he may find himself in AAA again, but if he does not do better there than Larnach is this year, that may be his new home. Stevenson, if his baseball career does not work out, he looks likes Chatsworth Osborne, Jr. from the old Dobie Gillis show and could fit right in if they ever did a redo of that.
  7. The infielder was closer to the ball but backed off because Lurch was charging like a bull. The infielder could have had it, but Wallner has gone back to his disregard for other fielders again like he was last year.
  8. So he could stike out instead?
  9. Wallner should have let the other gent get that one.
  10. A lot of 0 fors, the whole team exept for two.
  11. Good news, Julien has been moved from second to DH.
  12. Players who make it to the Bigs in their early twenties are not unusual, there just does not seem to be as many as there used to, but Jenkins seems to fit that mold so enjoy the ride.
  13. Listening to the TV announcer, the Mets are suffering from the Bull Pen disease that has hurt the Twins in the past too often.
  14. Twins pitcher is throwing batting practice pitches, or stirke outs.
  15. That odd double that Farmer got, my memory, good or not, seems to remember there used to be batters that could deliberately get little stick the bat out there hits in the past. The little Texas League type hits on purpose.
  16. Gallo , for lack of a better word, is smooth, looks like instinct; Wallner is herky-jerky , looks ackward. Wallner IS better, than he was, but a long way to go.
  17. Arhh, I feel bad for Luplow and Kepler but Kepler did well so now I feel better.
  18. Batting Average .222, Gallo without the fielding skills.
  19. Just checked the batter stats. for this game, Lewisis 0-3 probably because he want to not make the other boys feel like under achievers and Wallner is 0-3 because that is what he does.
  20. But, but -- as the chorus goes -- how can he learn to hit them if he does not face them, blah, blah, blah.
  21. I get it, you are a bit infatuated with rookies in AAA; if they show they belong in the Big Show they will be in the Big Show. Years back , I read an article how some very talented rookies never really make it out of AAA for more than a hit miss; it said if a team has very good gents in AAA they are not going to send them to another team and remove the talent that can be called up if needed, until they have a place for them, until then, some one as good , or better, if already in the Majors wil stay . Next spring, if they are as good as you hope , they can show their stuff and the FO will decide where they end up.
  22. They have not earned their way up yet; there is no room/need for them; not enough players have been injured.
  23. Next spring/year will show what he has.
  24. It is a new Twins tactic, if you fall down while running, for any reason it confuses the other team and makes you faster.
