Saints Take 4 of 5 from Mud Hens, Look Forward to 2024

Saint Paul, Minnesota - The St. Paul Saints had three players on MLB Rehab Assignments in the lineup on Sunday afternoon. Byron Buxton sent a ball to the warning track in the bottom of the ninth but in the end, it was dominant Mud Hens pitching that helped Toledo get past the Saints 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in front of 6,003. Saint Paul, Minnesota - Rain, rain, go away. The Toledo Mud Hens and St. Paul Saints wanted to play on Saturday night, but mother nature had other plans. The Saints and Mud Hens game was canceled due to rain. Saint Paul, Minnesota - The Saints had a seven run second inning that included a grand slam from Michael Helman. The Saints have 14 grand slams on the season, and this helped the Saints get past the Toledo Mud Hens 10-6 in front of 7,517. Saint Paul, Minnesota - Bryan Sammons tossed six dominant innings for the Mud Hens. A costly Toledo error in the seventh inning helped the Saints score four unearned runs. Saint Paul, Minnesota - The Saints and Mud Hens started the final series of the regular season on Tuesday night. The Saints carried a shutout into the ninth inning. In fact, the Saints were one out away from a shutout, but Dillon Dingler had other plans. Saint Paul, Minnesota - Books Lee tied the game in the bottom of the ninth with a solo home run; however, the 10th did not go as planned for the Saints. Columbus plated eight runs in the 10th and defeated the St. Paul Saints 14-6 on Sunday evening in front of 6,528. Saint Paul, Minnesota - Joey Cantillo kept the Saints offensive quiet most of the night. Cantillo only made a single mistake, which was a solo home run hit by Alex Kirilloff. Earlier in the week the extra-inning games went the Saints way; however, on Saturday night Columbus finished on top with an 8-5 win over the Saints in 11 innings. If a prediction were to be made one could say Bryon Buxton and Alex Kirilloff, who were both on MLB Rehab Assignments would have been the stars of the show. Saint Paul, Minnesota - The Saints and Columbus Clippers (Cleveland Guardians) started a six-game series on Tuesday night. For the first time since June 16th, nine innings was not enough to decide the game. Toby Gardenhire secured his 200th victory as a Triple-A manager on Sunday afternoon in a 7-2 Saints win over the Toledo Mud Hens in front of 8,212 fans. Saint Paul, Minnesota - If you are coming out to the ballpark on a Saturday night you never know what you may see. Kyle Garlick had a home run overturned and Saints manager Toby Gardenhire was ejected all in the first inning. The Saints would still find a way to get a few runs across in the first, but in the end, it would be the Mud Hens that would get the last laugh in a 7-3 win over the Saints in front of 9,364.
