Saint Paul, Minnesota - Bryan Sammons tossed six dominant innings for the Mud Hens. A costly Toledo error in the seventh inning helped the Saints score four unearned runs. The Saints defeated the Toledo Mud Hens 4-2 on Thursday night in front of 6,547. The Saints improved to 83-63 on the season.

Toledo got on the board in the first. Randy Dobnak had a rocky start. On the first pitch of the game Dobnak hit Nick Solak with the pitch. Next, Justyn-Henry Malloy walked. Later in the inning, Kyle Garlick reached on a fielder's choice. Mud Hens third baseman Justyn-Henry Malloy threw the ball into right field, which allowed Lee to come all the way from first to score and Garlick advanced to third. Next, Jair Camargo is hit-by-the-pitch. Gilberto Celestino stepped to the plate. Vasquez threw a wild pitch, which allowed Camargo to move to second and Garlick to score. The game was tied at two. Hernan Perez hit an RBI single to left, which allowed Camargo to score. The Saints took a 3-2 lead. Michael Helman singled, which knocked Vasquez out of the game. Garrett Hill entered the game and Hill allowed an RBI single to Byron Buxton (MLB Rehab Assignment). Buxton was replaced by Chris Williams, who was used as a pinch-runner.
