    I have to say if your looking fir exciting baseball to watch ... The 13 game winning streak and this series has been the best so far this season ... The rest of the games mostly have been boring ...

    I see wallners 1 hit has him over the Mendoza line in the box score ... Vazquez batting 162 , I still like him as our catcher ...

    Vazquez might not get 7 million as I stated but he will get a contract . catcher defense is very important and teams are always looking for good defense , yes they'd like hitting to be a part of the equation too ... There is not alot of good hitting and defensive catchers out there ...

    Again I don't think I mentioned renewing Vazquez , but that's what another team will pay him for his defense and smarts , yes he's older bur still a very capable part of a battery ... I d I d mention at a lesser price , twins would not pay him 7 million ...

    Oi didn't say anything about renewing a contract , but I would at a much lesser price , going for defense catcher of his caliber is 7 million ... I doubt the twins would shell out that much ...

    Late coming to the thread , was listening as i was cleaning up after the weekend festivities now that everyone has gone back to their lives ... I don't care about Vazquez 10 million a year contract , there's alot of people that don't like Vazquez for that reason , yes he hasn't hit much but that defense and his smarts has given the twins some winning games ... I don't know how many games Vazquez has won for the Twins because of his defense but their out there , sonny gray picking off man on second in the playoff is one of them , because Vazquez called for it and it worked , he got a guy at third base this year , he plays smarts and is maybe over paid , but I'm sure glad we have a very capable catcher ...

    The one I believe that hurt the most was trading Craig nettles , uhlaender, chance and another to Cleveland , the twins received tiant and Stan Williams ... Nettles was a good gold glove third basemen and almost hit 400 homers , he made his mark in a Yankee uniform ... Tiant was only a twin for a year cause Calvin thought his arm was through , he went on to be another twin that became a legend in a Boston uniform ... Bad trade for Calvin and the twins fans ... Honorable mention ... Another bad decision by Calvin because he thought his arm was bad and probably contract issues was kitty kaat waived and white Sox picked him up in 1973 , he only went on to pitch until he was 44 , 25 years in the big leagues ...

    I should of stated his playing time will diminish , I like Clemens and he is versatile and if they trade Castro , Clemens could fill his position , I'd like to see that batting average come up though , if Clemens finishes strong I could see him in a twins uniform next season ...

    IBecause of the July fourth weekend festivities I wasn't able to watch the game ... Checked the box score and read the last couple of pages on the game thread ... Another walk off win is exciting , if we win one tomorrow it's called a winning streak ... Has the season just started yesterday , Rocco has played small ball the past couple of games , is he going to continue doing so , with speedy buxton on third and surprising everyone he has Lee lay down a bunt and Buxton scores the walk off winning run ... Clemens homeruns have been game changing compared to alot of our guys just hitting solo homeruns , would be nice if he could get his average back up , his run of taking the opportunity might be running out with keaschall coming back soon , I like what he has done for the Twins, some clutch hitting and defense has be solid ... It's a team effort and everyone needs to do it's share when the bigger bats fail , Clemens and Lee were the heros today , Duran going 2 innings could also be added , but Rocco don't do that to often , but if you do it only increases his trade value that Duran can go more than1 inning ... As far as the rookie Adam's pitching , I'll have to take everyone's word that it was average at best , maybe his second start will be better without the debut jitters ...

    Wallners back below the Mendoza line ... sorry but his batting is starting to remind me of Joey Gallo , Gallo at least was a better defender ... Wallner is not showing the value he once did ...

    Sorry I missed most of the game , had to set up my piro techniques for the evenings festivities , nice show ... Nice to read the box score and seen we walked it off ... Bader game ball , I'd have to agree he has talent and is having a good year playing for the Twins , should we keep him or trade him ... I guess we will find out by the end of the month , every team needs defense and pitching , Bader has very good defense and hits about average so there should be teams calling about his availability ....

    Trade willi to a team that has talent to trade back , Yankees really doesn't have alot of talent because they are always trading the prospects for major league players ...
