    Tonight in Detroit , good chance of a severe thunderstorm at game time or by 7 pm , If they start on time an opener that could go 2 innings might just make sense tonight , if they do start Festa and rains delay game then we might have a wasted start by Festa ... We'll see how our brain trust handle it ...

    that being said, I think it is fools gold to believe the Twins would make any noise , they didnt in the past offseason nor will they at this year's deadline ...

    If the twins trade a valuable closer like Duran at the deadline , the twins should want a high value in return ... Prospects are nice , how well are the Phillies minors stocked , they like the Yankees trade away Prospects for players to play now in the mlb , so do they have any top 100 prospects , top 100 prospects I guess would be the ones I would consider for a closer like Duran , and not one for one , get a package of good talent , no fringe players ... No trading Jax as he would fill Duran position ... We have expiring contracts like Allstar Castro that has some higher value and could find a prospect from AAA that is close to playing at end of season or next year .. The first base position is still a revolving door , did you know the most MVP's that are given out belong to first baseman ..... Position of needs is a catcher and first baseman , we fill the rest of the positions OK but if they can upgrade that's fine too ...

    Woods Richardson pitch fine and got 5 innings in , the players hit in bottom of the fifth and got 2 runs so SWR earned the win and he also lowered he's era to about 4 1/2 runs per nine innings pitched , that's the right direction ... The bubble popped in the sixth with POP pitching and the hitters crushed him for 8 runs , that is the consistency we need to see from the hitters , multiple hits in arow , we don't have to score 8 runs an inning , just put together multiple hit innings throughout the game that are fun to watch , that sixth inning was fun to watch ... End of June is here and we just won 2 games in arow with good pitching , as the calendar turns to July I hope our pitchers don't blow up and give up anymore double digit losses ... Win or lose the team needs to play more consistently , let hope it starts in Detroit because these games really do matter in the standings ...
