    Its the same every year , twins break spring training with players that have no options that did not earn a roster spot because of it ... Every year they break camp without the best players in the eyes of the fans , as one member posted here today , the organization has more baseball smarts than the average Joe fan ... My average Joe prediction is the twins will finish the season in the high 90's for losses , it's not whether you win or lose , ITS HOW YOU PLAY THE GAME...

    Who in Twins territory STUNK the most this past off season ... The organization , that's who ... The ones that SHRUNK the most are Rocco and falvey, they shrunk so much I can't even see them anymore, YEAH ....

    I'll believe it when I see it if this organization has learned from past mistakes , the owners will never make a competent decision because they just dont have the Knowledge to make baseball decisions ... Opening day is right around the corner , I am excited for the season of baseball , I am excited that we have no place else to go but up ... It's going to take a year or two , but hopefully we can get some game changing players to move the needle , we always would like our team to win more than they lose , but this year is going to be more of the past few seasons of breaking 500 ...

    Panic alarm ... The season is lost , no reason to panic ... The pohlads may be panicking to put fans in the stands with this " we will be competitive prediction " ....

    I wish the writers would stop using the words competitive , a competitive team wins more than 81 games , it's not going to happen for the twins even if they would have a 20 game winning streak , they then would lose 20 in arow ... I look forward to watching our twins during the season , I look forward to improvement in the clutch with runners on 2nd and 3rd and no outs , better defense would be something to be proud of , the offense should be alittle stronger than last year ... Starting pitchers a has depth but how good , they're young

    Looked at the box score and yes wallner is hitting better and again today he got a couple of more hits ... Keaschall has been his usual consistent self .... Lewis is the most disappointing , sure do miss those grand slams ..

    This is such a mess to sort out , has anyone from the organization leaked anything to the media ... Is there a favorite or two to fill the bullpen , is hendriks injured as someone mentioned we could stash him on the injured list ... Altivilla is pitching for Italy , are they monitoring him as he pitches there for a bullpen spot , he pitched 28 innings for White Sox but his walks need to be harnessed ... Topa is not doing himself any favors but most likely will start the year with the twins ... Are they going with the veterans and using minor league options on players that should make the team , Zoll is probably following Falvey's example of constructing a team ... Who has the talent to make this team competitive , start the season with the best options to get the job done ... What a difficult mess shelton has to sort through ... I dont know exactly how to put it except our chance of competing are looking grim ...

    How loyal is Ryan to this organization that gave him his first opportunity in the show , he has worked hard to get where he is at , some work through our coaches but he has also gone elsewhere for a different voice and advise ... Ryan isn't going to sign a team friendly extension with the twins , there is more money in free agency , it's a gamble with 2 years remaining of team control plus the qualifying offer ... I see Ryan as a gambler and going to free agency turning down a qualifying offer ... CBA could twist things around or this seasons deadline could change it as well ...

    I haven't forgotten during falvey and Rocco's run all the players that should have been on the roster , that were DFA'd because they chose the wrong player for the roster on opening day ...

    1 start and Ober is on the hot list , not much pitching is hot i guess ... Topa for sure is off kiltered ... So who is winning so far on the balls and strike challenge calls , players or umpires ... That is something new to baseball this year , now is the time for an article on how it is working ...

    So it's root root root for the home team , if they don't win it's a shame ... With a poorly run organization and probably no better than last year , we can expect results the same but probably worse than last year , they need to clear the platoon players and get everyday players on the roster , 15 games into spring training and they results have been poor ... It would be nice to see players that earned a roster spot get the opportunity and play everyday , I know you are not a Martin fan but they should be looking at Martin to be an everyday outfielder and spelling keaschall at second base ... Give Martin an opportunity and let him run with it or fail with it , he does make contact and hits , speed on the bases , we need that speed if we are going to continue to play like we did after the deadline last year , homeruns are important but getting on base and scoring runs is too , you did like watching arraez get on base and spark the club ... I'm just going to wait and see what else they might add and subtract before spring training is over , if they don't make some changes it's going to be another long season ...

    Just cant see bold predictions coming to fruition ... We have needed multiple players to take that next magical step for sometime , will this be the year or will some of last years core be replaced ... Its not up to me to decide , but dammit if the player deserves or earned a 26 man roster spot , he should be given the spot ... Roden is on a tear and looking like he is earning a spot for example , other prospects are performing well ... So to say we need our core from the past few years need to magically take a step forward is asking alot ... But it's a new year and anything can happen ...

    Spring training the players are here to impress , so far Roden is on a tare , others prospects are holding their own , our veterans haven't ramped up yet in early spring training , offense the other day with 3 hits in the game against Tampa is not what is to be expected for a competitive team ...

    I've watched some of the recent games ( yankees blow out and todays game ) and it hasn't looked good on pitching and offense for most games , some players are performing and wanting a spot on 26 man roster , could be a tough decision ... Its early and wins don't matter , but performing does , roden , Rodriguez and Gonzales are off to a good start , our main core hasn't shown up yet , it's up to them to get the cobwebs cleaned out and start performing , wallner is a big concern , does he have options left to send to AAA , ive stated manyvtimes that he needs to change his approach but I haven't seen him try anything different , I'd like him to shorten his swing and lessen his violent bat speed for better contact , his homers might not go as far but he would hit more homers ... Wallner is a big concern right now in spring training , I want players on the 26 man roster that earn it ....

    Since No one has asked a question , if i was in Florida i would ask , but I'll ask it here because I vowed not to spend my money on the twins at twins fest , spring training or target field until we have a consistent winning product or we get new owners ( which will be first ??? ).... Will it be better writing articles without falvey and Rocco in the twins organization ???

    Let's hope they have learned some lessons on getting this organization back from being one of the most poorly run teams in baseball ... I want to see smart moves , not the head scratchers falvey Always did ... So far the changes haven't really changed my mind , still wading through the shallow end of the pool of players ... Be wise grasshopper , money doesn't grow on trees , but poor spending like falvey did , ( they should of just burned the money ) ... So far we have matched last year's acquisitions , bell , caratini and banda verses last year's France, Bader and Colombe ... From what Tom has said , the spending will be done when the team can prove it can win , we'll that isnt going to make the twins winners over night ... I just hope we aren't a further embarrassment to the league , are we any better than last year , let's play the game and have an article after 40 games , that should tell us what kind of team we will have ...

    Shelton will be good for the team , emphasize all the traditional ways to play good baseball , Shelton will be better for the players to ... As 1 poster already said ,I like him more than Rocco already , can Shelton get these players to play a more competent , more exciting game , the only answer is , he has nowhere to go but UP ...

    Uncertainty ... Definitely a problem ... Will the starting rotation carry the team to a 500 record , Will the defense improve enough to help our pitchers sustain ... Will our offense improve enough to score 4 or more runs a game and give our pitchers support , definitely do need players to have a better approach on hitting ( will some succeed , stay the same or just keep on regressing ) trotting out practically the same lineup every year hasn't been beneficial ... Will the offense ever find the mental approach to be clutch hitters with no outs and runners in scoring position ... Will our Baserunning blunders improve or stay the same ... will the adjustments come , will players that are struggling keep getting playing time ... middling expectations .. I have no high expectations or middle expectations , just low expection ... Will be pleasantly surprised if the twins are a 500 ball team at seasons end or for that matter finish above the White Sox in the standings ... If they can play quality baseball that is exciting , win or lose that will be enough for me ...

    Hard to believe a pitcher like banda falls into our lap ... This acquisition moves the needle some , it was a no brainer to get him for the bullpen at a affordable price and just might be bullpen pitcher of the year ...

    Pitchers and catchers report ... it's a good thing that true fans love the sport ... So for now let the players play in spring training and cut them some slack ... I'm happy baseball is back ... The articles all off season were uninspiring ... Most of the fans were thinking about retiring ... The fans are back with some optomizum ... But half way through the season there is going to be alot of pessimism ... Happy to have baseball back ...

    Conner Prielipp is the one to watch in spring training , can he put his injuries behind him is the question ... Raya has been hyped all along since drafted but has had kid gloves on since drafted , that's on our development personal , he didn't show anything in AAA but has convinced our management that he's now qualified for a bullpen position ... Ober can be his old self if the injury was his problem last year , spring training we will know ... All eyes are on the players in spring training , time is now to impress ...

    Off season grading is easy , every year it's an F ... No creativity , no strategy and a strange plan , pitching is a strength but the rest of the roster is a mess with no moves to solve the holes , keep trotting out the same players year after year in hope that they will be more competitive ... We are starting a new season with a new manager and some changes in coaching , it's a fresh start , spring training right around the corner the players will need to impress to make the roster , only the best need to make the roster , those ( AAAA )with no options shouldn't be given a roster spot with any worties of losing them on waivers ...
