  1. Harbaugh, for all the problems that dude brings with him, really is one hell of a coach.
  2. It should be noted that the Vogel/meddling criticism lacks context. These guys haven't acted like Jerry Jones. They've put a demand on winning (not unlike the Wilfs) but they let their GM do their job. Vogel didn't get fired by demand of the ownership group - he got fired because he and Kevin Durant were basically not on speaking terms. That team was a mess and they didn't trust their coach. There isn't much evidence we should be equating them with a Jerry Jones type.
  3. If the meddling is all in service to fans....I think I could get used to a long stretch where ownership doesn't nickel and dime us. Even if it never pulls of a title.
  4. The most shocking part about that, to me, is that a 77 year old man is using Madden ratings for real life. I mean...you hire a 17 year old you could see it. Woody Johnson....at seventy freaking seven....is playing Madden? (Edit....sniped by nick)
  5. I read today about the Browns. They owe Watson obscene money they have no path out of....and then add Cousins to it? Woof. Man did that franchise screw themselves.
  6. Same, but there is some joy in seeing that the Vikes are being rewarded for making the smarter, bolder call. It's the easy move in the NFL to stick with a QB that isn't awful and can win a few games, then move on and take big swings at a true difference maker.
  7. They're going to have to try and get off that deal. It's going to hurt.
  8. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-qb.php https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1g0k7yv/2024_nfl_qb_analysis_time_to_throw_vs_completion/ (Only weeks 1-5, trying to find larger context) They really aren't though. The Vikings are tied with the Eagles for most time before pressured. I think you're confusing Darnold's tendency to hold the ball too long with the OL not being competent. (It could also be schematic, Purdy has consistently been in the "longest time to throw" metrics too. KOC might be demanding he hang in there looking for down field shots) Don't get me wrong....replace freaking Bradbury already....but this is a top half OL in the league for sure. Top 10 when Darrisaw is healthy.
  9. Special teams back as a thing.
  10. Turner....more of that. Damn.
  11. Perfect answer.
  12. That was an easy throw to make. He's gonna get a guy killed doing that.
  13. Hopefully that wakes the offense up. Time to move the ball down the field in smaller chunks and stop looking for kill shots.
  14. Darnold is not sharp tonight. There have been way too many forced throws.
  15. I think we win, but probably not as comfortably as we want. I hope I'm wrong about that second part.
  16. That Campbell story is nuts. It just goes to show how quickly things can unravel (or come together) in the NFL. You have to strike when you can in this league, windows don't stay open for long.
  17. We definitely look like we missed on Turner over Verse....but the night is still young.
  18. This really would be ideal. And I can see why the Twins would be an appealing spot: Stadium is a non-issue. Long history for the franchise, so the fan base COULD be strong with proper investment. Recent success and current star power. Front office appears to at least be competent.
  19. Well...if we want people unafraid to throw their billions into their team....these guys are it. They're fans with billions.
  20. Right now I'm on "I wouldn't do it". Though he's been making it a really difficult decision lately.
  21. Do you have any concern we'll be Daniel Jonesing it?
  22. Your input, as always, brings the conversation to new heights.
  23. I think they should listen, but not to a deal that basically salary dumps him. If they get good value, selling on a 30 year old MIF with some worrisom recurring injuries is (statistically speaking) a wise move.
  24. I don't want owners to pocket money. I'm also all done watching all fan prices inflate to subsidize this awful financial infrastructure.
