  1. I'm pretty sure that the plan will stay the same as with the regular season. Jeffers will start the 1st game of the series and he'll get the majority of starts if the series extends to the max number of games. Best of 3, 5, or 7. If there are off days I can see Jeffers getting back to back starts. Rocco wouldn't let me see his crystal ball when I saw him on Friday night.
  2. I like Lopez and Gray. Lopez starts seem to go along the lines of 5 good innings and 1 30+ pitch inning. But none the less solid. Grays starts are similar. He cruises along and then have a walk followed by a couple softly hit but well placed balls that will find holes and before you know it the other side will have plated a couple runs. But still a solid start. I saw last night. 65 year old Verlander pitched into the 9th inning. I'm not expecting that kind of performance from Lopez or Gray. But it sure would go a long way towards a successful Twins run in the playoffs.
  3. Pretty sure Buxtons drive to left was 347' and not 447' But hey, who's counting? Just the fact that he played tells me he's 100% ready to carry this team on his back for the next month. Knees be damned.
  4. Paddack was warmed up and coming in when the rain delay came.
  5. Kiriloffs wrist is no where near where it needs to be to hit ML pitching. He's toughing it out with help from doc's. Don't think it'll ever be 100% again
  6. That's a really good win after being thoroughly dominated for 7 innings. Good for them. Magic number shrinks.
  7. 2 veteran gold glovers. Communication perhaps?
  8. You got it? No! You got it.
  9. They weren't big crowds for Monday and Tuesday either.
  10. Willi says. OK enough of that.
  11. Nah. The umpire wouldn't care. But Mr. Manfred would object.
  12. Today! It's team game. That was the quote. Who cares if he didn't contribute. He hit a homer yesterday and they lost. Ask any player. Would they rather homer and lose. Or go 0 fer and win.
  13. If wallner or Julien make an error in the field, and it doesn't lead to any damage even if they were 4-4 at the plate. Your response would be along the line of how terrible they are and the Twins can't play youngsters. I don't have any stats, but I'd wager that Lewis has affected more games than Buxton has this season. And now pointing out how he's done nothing today. Ludicrous
  14. And Lewis pulled up hobbling
  15. The judges must be easily swayed. What if the response had been "maybe"?
  16. And they're still in it. Which makes it more confusing
  17. Why? Were they playing kids the 1st 2 games of the series? And now if they win its because only the vets played. It can't be both ways
  18. The only problem with the pumpkin Blizzard is its too heavy and bulky to consume. I wish they used the miniature pumpkins instead

    Royce Lewis: ROY?

2 reasons he won't win. Not close to a full season like some of the others. And the old east coast bias will make Henderson a shoo in. A month ago it was Edoard Julien in a similar thread
  20. That's some pretty lofty company you're putting Lewis in. Kaline won a batting title at 20. Jeter was 22 when he helped the Yankees to a WS championship. Hank Aaron was Hank Aaron. Lewis is probably way ahead of Babe Ruth too. Since Ruth mostly pitched his first 5 years. It's nice to see Lewis and what he's been doing. But easy on the comparisons. Hell TD knocked him down to the #2 prospect to start the year
  21. You might be right on that one. I guess it's easier to make an example out of a rookie vs let's say Farmer last night.
  22. Yes, but if they did that. Would they still be DULL?
  23. If Correa's foot is really affecting his play that much I was thinking Rocco would give him as much time off as he needed. Have him available as a PH only. At least for the 3 games vs W Sox.
  24. I like the trade. And I'm not disputing the stats of Julien vs Arraez. I just want to point out that the numbers accrued are based on less than 300 AB from Julien vs 550 from Arraez. So it's not a totally accurate comparison.
