    I agree with everything you say. Ober and Lopez are also under control for the next few years. That's a good start going forward. Then realistically there's Paddack who they hope can come back strong. That leaves only 1 maybe 2 slots to fill and I'm sure that's a main agenda for the FO. If the pitching pipeline delivers then they'd have an opportunity to fill voids elsewhere with those assets

    I was thinking similarly. Only my scenario was 2026. Hey while they're at it, the Twins might as well trade P. Lopez whom they extended earlier this season. Hed probably bring in a load of prospects too. Throw Ober in for good measure.

    Couldn't agree more. I could forsee a move where they entice a Bochy type to come to Minnesota. No not LaRussa. Nah. Forget about it. Should have put the satire lead before the post.

    It's fun to be with friends or on blogs discussing scenarios of potentially adding a big name to your favorite teams roster. How many people (fans) had Correa coming to Minnesota in 2022. And in his case even wanted him because he was a foe you loved to hate. But then once he does join your team he's embraced because now he's one of yours. I didnt include Donaldson because I don't think anyone ever really liked him. Including teammates. It's also not realistic or ever going to happen 99.9% of the time. And Goldschmidts best days are behind him while Kirilloff is on the rise. He also has a history with his wrist. If Goldscmidt was 31 or so instead of 35 it would be a no brainer. And if the Twins really want to shake up the baseball world. Just mortgage the franchise and go after oh oh oh Ohtani.

    You know who Helman is. Have you seen him play? And I wasn't talking about now. The question was posted about who do the Twins have in their organization who could fill Castros role. Grade school remark

    Crushing at AAA is not the same. It gives you an indication. But you don't know what one can do until they get that chance. He earned the call. Yes. But IF Polanco stayed healthy where would he be? In AAA that's where. I was down in Florida for ST and I advocated for Julien to come north. But the powers that be decided otherwise. And that was with Polanco starting the year on the IL. Gordon's 2022 season and Castro pushed him down.

    Major league is exactly what you state it isn't. AAA is a place to hone ones skills but it doesn't guarantee success in the majors. Playing MLB baseball against the best competition does. And you'll never know what they can do until they're given an opportunity. Julien is a perfect example. When Polanco went out, he got an opportunity to perform and so far he has. What exactly do you mean? And Michael Helman is a guy in AAA who I believe could fill the Castro role. But we'll never know until he gets a chance to prove it. Or not.

    Good bounce back win for the Twins. In the article I see it was mentioned that the Correa call of out at 1st cost him a hit. Replay showed he was clearly safe. But my gripe is even if the call was overturned, that's not a hit. The official scorers job is to be fair and impartial. Over and over I see scorers ruling hits on errors because they don't want to penalize their guy. And if it's their guy who hits the ball he's rewarded a hit to help the home teams player. And not picking on Julien but there was a game where he could have had 3 errors but the official scorer ruled differently. And then fans who might not watch the game look at stats and say, well he can't be that bad. He only has 2 errors. That's my problem with statistics. It kind of like the adage that history is written by the victors. Enough of my venting. Go get em tonight

    YES! And the fact it took this long speaks volumes. His breakdowns month by month. March. 2-5 .400 avg April 23-92 .250 avg. May 15-85 .179 avg. June 8-50 .160 avg. July 6-45 ,133 avg. 29-180 in May June and July. So nearly 3 solid months of futility at the plate. And that's hitting in the 3 spot in the lineup. His production month was April when he built up his home run and OPS numbers. He's definitely playing with injury. 60 day IL and get him healthy for 2024. That or keep hoping he'll break out.

    Perhaps it's the surly grumps who only care about box scores and win loss comment. Maybe that or bashing people who disagree. Not everyone takes kindly to that. Challenging different points of view is great and productive. Being dismissive is not

    Yes but that's not what caused them to lose this game. Too many missed opportunities and that 5th run given uo in the 6th after Gallo homer closed the gap to 4-3. Huge moment

    Buxton in the 3rd spot is killing the Twins plain and simple. Their getting production from the top but his inability to lay off pitches out of the strike zone. Chief I think I changed my vote to stupid
