    So let's play Groundhog day is the answer. Pagan and Jax are having trouble pitching with leads. Let's keep throwing them out there. Eventually something will stick. And this is a tried and true model. 👍

    Ive been waiting for a response like this. Lopez nor Duran have pitched since Monday. And yet Stewart and Jax have thrown in 3 of the 5 games. Jax lost a lead earlier in the week as well. Stewart has been fine. So why not Stewart for the 7th Lopez for the 8th and Duran to close it out? Are they saving their 2 best relievers for something?

    So basically what you're saying is that in reality, there's no help coming from the farm. And over usage and injuries. Starters have been going on avg. an inning longer than last year? So the bullpen shouldn't have as many innings. Correct? And who's been injured other than Thielbar? Alcala gets a pass as he hasn't come back anywhere close to his old self. I think this may be where the Twins put to much stock in his return

    If the Twins are a bad team with a lot of good players as you've stated, then what is needed to turn them into a good team? Because I agree that they have the talent.

    Watched the whole game. And I can tell you that yes the umpires calls on Kiriloffs AB effectively took the bat out of his hands, but that certainly is not what lost the game. There were several key moments. I believe Gallo was subbed out way too early. But Rocco nor anyone else anticipated a 12 inning game. Unlucky Jax? Even the outs he got were hard hit balls. Duran and Lopez were called on for 2 innings and they both cruised through their 1st inning and faltered in their 2nd. Durans 0-2 pitch was just too fat and got smoked. And Lopez walking a guy that strikes out 60% of the time isn't good. But Rocco does get credit too. His pinch running for Correa was a great move. Only Taylor scores on Buxtons hit. But to me from the 10th inning on after Bickford walked in the go ahead run, Twins hitters helped him out too many times swinging at pitches out of the strike zone. I'm glad they battled back. Today they face Kershaw who will be pitching on emotion and adrenaline.

    I don't understand the need to vent ones frustration at a particular player. But it's their right. I know the player being booed by his home crowd knows that they're struggling. I'm the opposite. Cross my fingers, promise to never do wrong ever. Sacrifice chickens. Whatever it takes to break that slump.

    Buxton is not nor was he EVER a 5 tool player. 1. Hit for avg. (Never) 2. Hit for power. Yes. 3. Run. Absolutely. 4. Defensively, One of the best CF of all time. When healthy. 5. Arm strength. Yes. It's above avg. If he was able to stay healthy and played 130 or 140 games per year, there would be a healthy debate for his HOF enshrinemeInt. So if the best he can offer is the maximum number of games he can provide as DH the Twins will happily take the results of 600 ab's vs 400 he might accrue by playing both. He's averaging less than 100 games per season for his career after all. I'm not saying he should never play CF again. But I'm also not opposed to his solely dh role either. Whatever maximizes his playing time.

    I'm not dismissing Byron Buxton. But I question how his playing the outfield makes him a better hitter? He's never been a high avg. guy and he's a consistently streaky hitter on the positive and negative side. I think most people view him as a mookie Betts type hitter which he never was nor ever will be whether he's DHing or playing CF. Let's see if he can put up these huge projection numbers by performing in 140 or 150 games primarily as DH vs 100 games as DH/CF

    And yet how many times have these types of innings occurred over the past several years. Relief pitchers allowing BB followed by bad defense killing a good start.

    Stewart did well. If he can do that consistently it's a good thing. It moves Pagan further down the pecking order.

    I don't think he necessarily HAD to pitch on Thursday. I don't see it as an issue either. If Duran is away today handling his immigration issue, then why not use him last night. Lopez will be available today if needed and Duran should be right back and ready to go on Saturday. Sure the game was well in hand. Maybe Rocco was worried he might be rusty with 3 consecutive days off

    A salute to him for his hard work and dedication to make it back. All the best to him. Would love to see him perform well enough to be a set up guy for Lopez and Duran

    And it's been the same for Kiriloff and Lewis. They've both been injured multiple years but you're going to anoint them. Kiriloffs numbers are similar to Larnachs. He tried playing for around 6 weeks with his injury last year and his numbers fell off dramatically. I'd rather have Larnach as my everyday outfielder over Kepler. He's done nothing for 3+ years. And I hear defensively how great he is. Well he sure hasn't looked that great this year. Or are you going to say. Oh it's been cold, wait till it warms up.

    So this question. Polanco is back manning 2nd. Farmer will be back and Solano are the 2 infield utility guys with Gordon. Even if you demote Gordon, and bring up Julien, where is he going to play? I guess you could do that now, but then you'll send him right back as soon as Farmer returns. And also take into consideration Kiriloffs return. We're not supposed to do math here but Kirilloff Polanco Correa Miranda with Solano and Farmer as utility infielders 2 catchers Buxton as dh leaves room for 4 outfielders. Larnach/Gordon, Kepler Gallo and Taylor. No room for Julien. Same thing for all these guys calling for Lee or whoever is the current flavor of the month. Those guys time may come this year, but only due to injuries.

    Good detailed analysis. Thorough. But he still needs to be consistent, or it's a moot point.

    I keep reading how Gray "gutted it out" Isn't he the one who said that mgmt needed to let starters go longer? Not tax or rely on the bullpen so much. Him gutting it out would have been coming out for the 6th. Even if he doesn't complete that inning it's still set up for Thielbar in the 7th. Then Lopez and Duran. Kepler did hit a homer but now his defense is suspect, not because he's bad, but more so because he's not 100%. He's not running well. That last play would have been a great catch if made, but due to the fact of his fear or injury or lack of hustle, there was no chance. He made a terrible play on that homer in Yankee Stadium and didn't run hard on the 1st inning gapper in Boston. If hes not 100% why is he out there?

    Varland recovered well. He could have done a Brito impersonation. But he didn't. And a game the Twins would lose more often than not, especially at Yankee Stadium, they battled back to win. Big kudos to all of them. Watching the game, it just had that feeling they would come back. All wins count, but I think that was their best win of the year so far.

    To answer the question of how soon can Twins fan's expect Buxton to be in CF this year. I think the answer is never. If Buxton has days off while only DHing. How can you hope to see him in CF. And I don't believe weather is a factor at all. That's just common sense to me. If roaming CF is too much strain on whatever issues he's having physically, then the best scenario for Buxton is however many games they can get from him out of DHing only.

    Kepler/Gallo HITL watch; .187-BA, 6K, 2-BB, 4-HR, 8-RBI, 13-LOB. Why Gallo and Kepler? And how are you viewing this? Low BA and high K and LOB, Or high HR and RBI's

    Just a question. And I'm not against trading him. But if you were the GM, what would you be looking for in return? Because I think that's why he hasn't moved. The asking price might be too high.

    I do know that Keplers numbers vs Keller were 7-19 before that game. Not sure about the other 2. And Gallo was like 0 for 19 against Greinke. Because there was some talk about him leading off opening day

    I don't understand how your simulation works? For example. You have Pagan going 2 and 2/3 innings. How or why would a simulator pick Pagan to go that long? Not because its Pagan but more because Baldelli seldom uses a bullpen in that way. And how does it select a lineup or roster?
