  1. Someone called yesterday's lineup vs Astros a "spring training lineup". It was exactly the lineup one could expect vs. a lefthanded starter. The Astros with Valdez as the only lefty are an easier team to play matchups against. Good to see the bats have success. Which hasn't been the case for the past couple of years when they go against a left-hander. So now going forward the Juliens Kiriloffs and Kepler bats need to help carry the load. They haven't done much yet vs Toronto or Houston.
  2. Big Papi and Jeter changing their tunes tonight. But not quite willing to eat that black bird.
  3. The umpires strike zone is fine. That box is not totally accurate. If you go by the box you'll go crazy. Bregman and Correa both complained about pitches that were IN the box
  4. 10-5 through 5. If the lead holds the AL East will be 0-6 so far.
  5. To me the 2 things that were big let downs was Juliens baserunning error and Thielbars not getting a shutdown inning after the Twins got back in the game. Sure, there's no guarantee that the Twins score but those types of mistakes are deflating. And to those who say he was caught in no man's land. That play is right in front of him. Thielbars only homer given up to a lefthanded hitter this year but his 1st pitch to Alvarez was a middle middle fastball which he missed. But he sure didn't miss that hanging curve. I'm anxious to see how the Twins respond tomorrow. Come out firing on all cylinders
  6. The part of this loss that frustrates me the most was the Twins chasing outside the zone. The one thing they did well vs Gausman. Tomorrow is another day
  7. She quit acting? Did she take an office cleaning job? Or some type of temp work
  8. Hopefully the Moldanado walk doesn't haunt
  9. Verlander has been effectively wild so far. He's missed a lot of pitches. But then he's dropped a couple curveballs in for strikes. They really can't sit on anything.. And he looks like he might be settling in now
  10. Welcome to the playoffs Mr. Ober says altuve
  11. Did it involve climbing over fallen trees?
  12. 👍 Thanks. I'll be there for games 3 and 4. But was considering the watch party. I wasn't sure how it worked
  13. How does admission work. I mean what happens if 50,000 show up?
  14. That's a great debated topic. Majority vote required
  15. Yes. I know. On contact Correa is going to the bag for the potential force. I was referring to Julien is still coming over to cover the bag after Correa pivots to run down the ball. The runner I forget who it was but he was dancing off 2nd base when Correa threw out Bichette.
  16. IF Polanco comes up with that ball he either eats it or throws to 1st. There's no way he has a play at 2nd. Correa is closest to 2nd. I get that. He's covering 2nd for the potential force out. I'm looking at Julien coming over to cover after Correa pivots. And yes Correa was running better in this series than I've seen him run in his 2 years in Minnesota
  17. Julien is heading over to 2nd on that play. He's in the shot. Polanco bobble? It was a whiff. It went under his glove. It was still a really good play. In fact the quick turn he does was pretty good. I've never seen him move that fast. Bichette was a little overzealous and Correa made him pay. I don't even blame Bichette too much. He saw an opportunity and took it. 9 times out of 10 he scores.
  18. Not entirely accurate. Watch the replay. Julien is the video about 10 feet from 2nd base. But still a really nice play. Heads up!
  19. Still think your giving them stubborn FO too much credit. Sticking with Kepler. OK but sticking with a hurt and struggling Buxton at dh way too long. No one says it. But the offense didn't really take off until he went down. Kepler got hot. Julien and Wallner performed better than was expected. Remember they were sent down earlier in the season. And once they got rid of 2 automatic outs the offense improved. And as far as Paddack and Stewart. It was HOPED they'd be ready. Stewart had a setback so there was no guarantee. As things turned out. So far so good. So in a sense you could say the fact they added depth was a good thing. But Gallo and Buxton did nothing in May June July or August and then got shut down. They fell behind Cleveland for a while and hovered around 4 or 5 games over .500. The division win was no guarantee. Thumbs down or not. That's what I remember seeing all year. I was wrong about the bullpen. If the FO could foresee the bullpen they have now. Then I give them credit.
  20. Still not a big Rocco fan or the use analytics 100% of the time. Most of the moves he made in the playoffs were similar to moves he made during the regular season. The difference is instead of calling on guys like Floro, Winder, Lopez, Headricks Sands and Morans. He now has Stewart Maeda Jax Duran or is it dooo rahn? Varland Pagan Thielbar Paddock and Fundeburk. If Rocco has all these guys all year. The Twins might've won 100 games. Where he was praying before with fingers crossed and rubbing rabbits feet he now has weapons WAY MORE reliable. I guess they had a plan all along by standing pat as to the bullpen needs.
