  1. That's what I was thinking. But on the appeal the umpire ruled safe. So the Twins reviewed the play and the appeal was overturned
  2. Maybe my specs aren't working. Like the old lady from My Cousin Vinny. Time for a thicker pair
  3. I looked 4 times. And I didn't see an out either
  4. Only 5 hitters have had more home runs than singles in a season. Joey Gallo has done it twice. McGwire did it 4 times. Barry Bonds, Matt Olson and Ryan Schimph are the others. All have taken place in the last 25 years or so. I honestly didn't know that. I just knew Gallo has more homers than singles at this point. @Chief. You are correct. Google is your friend. Sometimes. Haha
  5. I honestly believe the guys who wrote all the blogs leading up to the deadline worked 10 times harder than the Twins FO did fielding all those calls and looking at their depth charts. On that it's not sarcasm. But I'll stop beating the dead horse cuz my foots sore
  6. He was ready 3 weeks ago. On that front I'm not sure why. Other than being extra protective
  7. Lewis should return soon. And when they face those tough left handers like Yarborough (who's now a Dodger) they still have Garlick if they choose to go in that direction
  8. I saw that they have the 5th easiest schedule for their remaining games. That can't be to heartening though. Not after being swept by KC
  9. It was a stab at satire. Jeez. I guess I'll stick to my day job
  10. I know the Twins tried really hard to get help in the bullpen. And the price for those RH hitting corner OF was just too steep. But they worked tirelessly to make it happen. Alas, things just didn't work out.
  11. It's not. Falveys sticking to his spring training guns. I guess the big move is Lopez for Floro by default
  12. Yes sir. I saw that one too. Looks like the D Backs are the winners of the pham sweepstakes.
  13. And Yankees, Phillies, and Braves too. At least according to Twitter over the last 20 minutes
  14. Did the Twins just get Pham? He was seen leaving Mets clubhouse in street clothes.
  15. Been watching MLB trade deadline for the past couple days between mowing 11 acres and bush and tree work and have noticed a few things. Not 1 mention of the Twins at all. And that the good teams and some marginal teams have all made moves to try and get better. The Twins? Nothing. Is it arrogance or incompetence? I mean what gives? Prime example being Toronto. Bichette goes down yesterday and they trade for an immediate replacement in DeJong. They aren't giving up.
  16. Looks like they overpaid on the 2 guys mentioned. 1 might only DH for the rest of his career. And the other who fell back in their lap. Worked hard? Buxton didn't have tons of potential suitors or he'd have tested the market. And I'll take Tampa Bays and Clevelands way of running a franchise. If the Twins got those results their avg attendance would skyrocket. Look how their attendance is now with a so so team.
  17. Yankees are listening simply because that lineup is not that good. Kepler going for Bader. New York fans and press would eat him alive. I'm not big on Kepler but I wouldn't wish that on anyone
  18. Cannot is absolutely correct. Will not is questionable. I believe come 6:00 PM EST. Falvey will tell everyone that all is well. No need to panic. Reinforcements are on the way.
  19. I honestly think the Twins are going to stand pat. Cleveland deals Civale. Bieber on IL. Chicago dealt a lot. I think the Twins FO thinks this team will win the division by default. The only move I see them making is DFA Gallo upon Lewis return. I'd be surprised if they bring in anyone for help this year. Clock us ticking.
  20. I'm pretty sure it's today's date. I could be wrong. But since he played yesterday.
  21. Julien still scores on Polancos double
  22. So maybe the best defensive player in mlb history is your comp. That and the small ball and speed game the Cards played on that concrete field. OK 👍
