  1. Although I can't blame Rocco or anyone else but Jax, a real weakness is beginning to show, and that's the fact the Twins don't seem to have a reliever capable of throwing multiple innings in a close game. As I've said before, they need a couple of setup guys that can get 2 innings or some of these guys are going to pitch in 100 innings.
  2. I have to think at least Rocco is on the hot seat. I doubt Falvey is due to the fact he is now the President. IMO if things don't turn around by the end of the month Rocco should be gone. Not because it's all his fault, but someone has to take the fall, and it's easier to fire the manager than to get rid of the players.
  3. The kid can hit. I just hope they give him enough AB's to adjust to MLB pitchers!
  4. I believe you're talking about the AL player of the week, Mr. France.
  5. I believe that if Julian can show he's capable of hitting with at least some power, he could be the 1st baseman next year. Of course, that also depends on how some of the youngsters down on the farm do this year. If it was up to me, I'd move Lewis to 1st, Keaschall at 2nd, (I think he's the real deal) Lee at 3rd and of course C4 at short. Lewis has good size, and seems to hit more like a 1st baseman is supposed to.
  6. This announcing crew are complete "homers". I miss the good old days with Dick and Bert!
  7. Great catch by Bader in left, Varland and Jax with mow 'em down innings. this is how the game should be played.
  8. IMO Rocco will probably survive another week or 2. But if things don't change by the end of the month I don't see any choice for the FO other than a new manager.
  9. They need a couple of good 2 inning guys. Then they could be a little more "traditional" with usage. IMO guys like knowing about when they called in.
  10. How many workers make what Miranda does? League minimum is still a nice payday.
  11. I can understand the physical errors, but a mental error like this (which seem to be happening more often) is inexcusable. IMO it comes down to a lack of concentration. These guys get paid way too much for that.
  12. Bring on Lee and Keaschall. Maybe they can hit their own weight. They can certainly play a little better on the D side!!
  13. This team isn't built for speed. Get what they can from the few guys who can run.
  14. His "electric stuff" needs to be plugged in to work. Lets see how much time he gets to be plugged in.
  15. I have a feeling they will need a relief picture starting today due to the over usage so far of the pen. Seems like Ynoa would be the logical choice. I doubt they would lose him if they had to DFA him
  16. They need to keep him on a very short leash. If he can get somewhere near average, he should be a trade piece.
  17. A lot of excuses that other teams don't seem to need. This team under Rocco has not been playing fundamentally sound ball since he was hired. I don't go down to ST so I really don't know how much they practice the little things, but it seems it's not enough!
  18. My concern is how they get the 1 big inning, and nothing else. Glad to see Miranda getting the bomb, I hope it's just the start for him.
  19. I have concerns about their "readiness" coming out of the gate. It seems to me there is a lack of concentration at times, and a lack of urgency at times.
  20. It is early yet, but it sure seems like "Rocco has lost the room" as they say. There is plenty of time to turn things around, but they really need to get going or it will be another season of chasing, and empty seats.
  21. Kaat lived just down the road from us in the 60's, and IMO he was a great player, but an even better man.
