Having Harper and Magill (who has appeared in all three games!!!) even on this 2019 post season roster is seemingly not representative of what that team would field for this most important series..... The 2019 bullpen must be laden with rust by now. And seriously..... what do you expect from Pineda, fresh off his suspension..... he was suspended right? Does the computer know that? Again I ask... how many players on on each team's roster?

EDDIE! EDDIE! Good thing Buxton is healed and playing. Let's see if you can make it through this series. And I love the box score and game log attachments (except the box score isn't generating the average, home run, and RBI totals for the series). Moya and Magill pitching in both games 1 and 2? How many players are on these rosters?
  3. h2oface
Exactly.... and Harper wasn't even on the team at the end of 2019, so how could he pitch in the Series? But all good fun. It's only one game.

Fascinating. Thank you very much! I found it very compelling, and the diagrams are also very helpful. I love this stuff!

This blog entry really gets buried. I couldn't find it today, and then I went to my content, and posts (since I knew I had commented and that would be quick, right?)..... and the comment didn't even show up there! Had to go to your personal page, and finally found it from the blog tab. This really needs moved to the article page, especially in these times of no baseball......

Thanks much for this Heezy. I always really enjoy your articles. I have an intramedullary nail (called a rod when "installed" in 1991) in my right tibia from a tib/fib mess, and a had a plate screwed onto my right ulna from 1992 to 2018, and have spent many hours in medical journals, pretending to educate myself. The two hip replacements in 2016 also made me dig in. Your discussions always fascinate me. I for one welcome a technical a surgery discussion, and anything else you would ever want to offer. Thanks again.

I think suspension games should count even if the games are cancelled. What they are doing now is like not counting time served in prison before the conviction. They still sat out those games, whether the league choses to cancel them or not.

This all sounds great. Can't wait for that starter(s) that prove it all works.

March Sadness. NBA suspended season. Baseball is next. Buxton will have plenty of time to be ready......

Sano looks HUGE at first base......

It would be nice to see a rotation as described. Still waiting for the reality..... I hope it happens sooner than later or never.

I sense the attitone too. It is like saying, "I'm not saying they should.... but........" I will always feel that the most cowardly thing a baseball player can do it throw a ball on purpose with intent 90+ mph at another player. Of course, then they lie on top of it and say they didn't mean to. Cowards and liars. Just play ball and play to win.

Don't look now, but for ever it is worth, our Twins have the worst ST team average in MLB right now. .203 And are 3rd to the last in OPS at .661. It means nothing, right? Almost all the offensive stats are dreadful. And tied for last in SB. They are tied for 3rd in HRs, though.....

Gordon has a mission, and that is to be a star in the bigs. Don't be a non-believer. Don't forget - He's the Man! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IfDry906h8

Tyler Shane Webb Born: 4/15/1996 in Prosper, TX Draft: 2018, Minnesota Twins, Round: 40, Overall Pick: 1204 2 run homer in the top of the 9th to tie it. You never know......
  16. h2oface
Sometimes spring training games seem so worthless, especially in the later innings. Players that aren't really part of the team, and won't be part of the team.....
  17. h2oface
Has Buxton abandoned the leg kick again? Or is this just his cage stance?
  18. h2oface
Well that is quite a stretch. Is that what you feel? Because no one even came close to saying that. I consider extensions, and talk about them related to whether they deserve it and the risk, to be all about salary and money. After all, that is what extensions are. Future salaries.
  19. h2oface
Yup. Definitely deserves so much less than Pineda. Or Bailey. Or Ordorizzi! That is why he won't be the opening day starter, and a number 4 or 5 of the rotation...... As far as value even just compared to our rotation...... definitely and necessarily getting screwed, and compared to many of the other pitchers in the league (not all) taking home double and triple what he will, definitely and necessarily. The system as it exsists is not fair, comparitively, to the younger stars that perform. Compared to me, not necessarily getting screwed. Shame on me for feeling the age should not be a reason and way to not have to pay someone comparitvely equal to those that are older for the same or better work.
  20. h2oface
I like it when players get paid proportionate to their performance. I don't like how the system is set up to basically screw the players in their younger years. Should it always be about the ownership winning? I hope he gets paid what he is worth.
  21. h2oface
I guess Stashak's value just went down, eh? Maybe comment like that is why they aren't saying.... I guess no news is good news on the tendon, then. It just seems that it would be mentioned somewhere, even if it is to say the tendon still ins't a problem, and doesn't look to be in the future.
  22. h2oface
Nowhere can I find..... WHO HIT CRUZ! Interesting that it is being kept secret. Also..... nothing needed to be done about the wrist tendon from last year? Saul Goodman? I mean .... it's all good, man?
  23. h2oface
The only 2 things I like(d) about Astudillo is his name (not the nickname), and the no look pick off throw he made to first in a Spring Training game. He is a liability everywhere he plays in the field, and as for "commanding the zone".... the way he swings at anything, I wonder if he even knows where the zone is. This is a team that should be done with cute stories, and refining all roster moves for a play-off run. I wish him well, just not on the Twins.
  24. h2oface
That would be fun! .... for the independent leagues.
  25. h2oface
It might mean that 5 tool guys were never 5 tool guys, and were overrated.
