  1. Just one example. It is OK. We can agree to disagree on the competion level. I don't know what year the radar was brought to the game, but we really don't know how fast those guys were throwing for all those years before it was. One can speculate, but we will never know. And we have a slap hitter batting clean up, now!
  2. I don't agree, totally.... but that is OK. I was around to see it. And we are still going to start Albers..... in this day and age. The 1965 year was some pretty damn awesome competition, for example.
  3. Yup. I know why they are doing it. That is the current thinking, for sure. I can't believe Jack Morris' (and those from the 4 man rotations) arm(s) never fell off.
  4. It is just kind of ironic, I think, that Baldelli with leave Barnes and Jax in to get pulverized for 109 and 92 pitches, and way past the 3rd time in the order, but will pull Ober with only 81 pitches and throwing a shutout and cruising. That, to me, is a bit inconsistent and baffling.
  5. Yeah. The sixth was totally relaxing for everyone. ?
  6. Hey, I'm not the one that pulled him after 81 pitches. It is our genius manager, Rocco Rocco bo bocco banana fana fo focco fe fi mo mocco.... ROCCO!
  7. If Ober can set them down in order, he doesn't start the 3rd time through until the 6th. Only 59 pitches so far......
  8. Hmmm.. Morneau thinks it would have been a homer? I don't. It was coming down steep. We will never know....
  9. Considering that in any other stadium that would have been a fly out anyway, it has some justice. Great play by Gordon.
  10. POLANCO! 24.... and so much more!
  11. Albers joins Gant and Jax and Ober and Barnes getting another start. HELP!!!
  12. Happy to lose that bet with myself, but same difference with result. Way better than another strike 3 looking with the bases loaded, though.
  13. Donaldson is gonna look at strike 3 I bet....
  14. 3 run homer would be fine..... Kepler
  15. The ONLY thing that Polanco seems to miss these days it that high fastball that he swings at.
  16. This article was great about the the Rich Hill procedure, as was the one by this author Lucas Seehafer PT and the link to that on is in the Heezy article, too.
  17. Ahhhh. I remember now. Well, he certainly is still struggling since sent down. 6 hits in 36 ABs. .167 average for his 10 games (7 since demotion - .200 with 20 ABs and 10Ks - still 50% K rate) in AAA so far then. His doubles almost shut off in the 43 games at AA in 2019. He will also be 25 when next season starts..... not getting any younger. I hope he finds it again, soon. He had a nice start in the show.......
  18. It is really good news that Celestino is doing well. I have been watching the AAA stats, too, and have been surprised. My main concern is how poorly he played the outfield. The defense was his calling card, and he made horrible decisions and it was baffling how poorly he played the outfield, to me. That is not a MLB or AAA thing. Being on the ball and making good decisions on where to throw etc is the same no matter what level. I hope he does keep improving. Larnach is still in a horrible hole since being back in AAA, and he hit great at that level before.
  19. Thanks for the great informative article. Awesome read. In answer to the OP question...... why wouldn't one always get a second and third opinion even? If it involves surgery, for anything at all, I would get 2 opinions, just as a matter of sane and smart personal policy. The only guy I know of that the rest actually worked is Ervin Santana, but I think it is still partially torn all these years. Mostly, waiting just wastes time. The worst possible scenario for Maeda would be to wait several months, then try it, and have it blow or reinjure, and then one of the surgeries discussed. That would even take more time, and in his case, cost him a boat load of money with that goofy incentive laden contract.
  20. Well, it works if I use my galaxy s8, but here is still what I get on my windows computer using chrome as the browser...... it just doesn't seem to load. It works on my ipad pro in chrome, though. Here on my computer, it just doesn't load the main video at all. Weird. I can use the others for the videos, but perhaps others are having the same problem on comupters and aren't commenting? Maybe it is just me. This computer is still old window 7, but everything else on this site has worked up until now.
  21. I guess the limit is 9 runs - no double digit poundings. Barnes (7 runs in 5 and 109 pitches) and Jax (9 runs in 4.1 and 92). Robles would have walked both Gordon and Cave if they could have had better plate discipline. Watching Robles inherit runners on second and third with no outs in the 9th, and the boys not able to bring them in.... that hurt. Espeically after seeing Robles give it up to sooo many teams for us.
  22. None of these play. All clicks go to another page, and then back with the next click. Circular. The videos never play.... at least for me. HELP!
