  1. If the all-star teams voters considered full seasons, they would/should consider the second half of the previous season and post season play. Pace? Take Dozier's year. Pace unfulfilled. Extremely. Pace should never be a consideration in my book. Pace is fantasy. I don't find this negative, Cody. Reality is not negative or positive.
  2. A .320 average with under 10 homers and doubles for a first sacker wouldn't get my vote. Especially compared to other first basemen. An all-star IS somewhat of a lifetime achievement award. Always has been. Or it should be. A couple hot months once in a career does not make an all-star in my book, even though with the silly fan voting where a person can vote a limitless amount of times it has made it that. Kershaw being left off last year until he became an injury replacement was a joke. Good for Nunez, who is more deserving than Cuddyer was in 2011, but obligatory picks have to be made. If Nunez keeps this up through next year, then he deserves it. I would put Cuddyer in 2011 on this list. He earned it in 2013 on the Rockies, though.
  3. One appearance. I believe a couple of those runs were let cross the plate as a gift from a following relief expert - the inherited runs scored experts. How many relievers have a bad outing? It is past due time for his return. He should have been given more appearances the first round.
  4. Please. No more prospects. This team wastes prospects.
  5. Better to burn out than fade away. He might have gotten into the HOF if he was forced to retire with concussions as one of the greatest catchers to play the game, regardless of the short career. Now, with such mediocrity since he stopped catching, there is no way.
  6. Personally, I love baseball and like to go early and stay late, and love it when the game goes into extra innings. I feel robbed if the game is over in 2 hours.
  7. Pitch count is sooooo overrated. Amazing baseball survived with a 4 man rotation. Teach someone that they can only throw 100 pitches, and they will think it is true. Pitch count is soooo overrated.
  8. Amazing how cheap a team (not just the Twins) can be. College Seniors may as well be free agents and go get the job on a team of their choice.
  9. Didn't I see an article like this for Escobar? Did it get cold feet?
  10. Trade him now before his value drops! Elizabethton to the bigs? See you in 6 years if at all. Good luck.
  11. It is hard to get that picture of Kepler looking back at the simple fly ball he had just run past this last series. It will take some time for me to be able to look at him as a plus defensive player now.
  12. Terry Ryan gets no love from me for finally fixing something he caused. It just further proves his time has been up for years. A classy man would have gracefully retired years ago. Of course Sano never should be in right field. Never ever.
  13. Nothing against Perkins, but if he does make it back, I hope it isn't taking up space on the Twins roster. Go be a daddy ...... and SHAVE THAT NECK BEARD !!!
  14. Drafted the wrong brother. I hope we got the right Burdi. Seems Nick is taking the Alex Meyer approach and can't stay within his arm capabilities and keeps hurting himself, though. Other than hype, I can't say I like any of the players on this team this year. Haven't liked the FO for years Hey... it's not my fault.
  15. Didn't the Twins' bullpen win a MLB bullpen of the week award in the middle of this mess? Yup. I wasn't dreaming, but it was like a dream. Week 2 winners "Minnesota's BRS score was 13.5 points higher than the next closest team...." http://m.twins.mlb.com/news/article/172982402 Jepsen is still fools gold. Forget about last years luck. It is foolish to continue to march him out there in save situations. He is not the future or even the present, and Perkins is history. The sooner the management realizes the future is the youth and lets them fail until they win, the better.
  16. It is not just Murphy's bat that is a concern. It is also his passed balls, errant throws, lack of being able to throw runners out, and his very suspect judgement on seemingly routine plays. Murphy is a mess.
  17. Meyer should be ready to start when Santana and Duffey don't answer the bell because of injury. I would love to see that.
  18. That would have to mean that Baltimore is one of the two best American League teams. I would argue that that is a total fallacy. A hot start does not mean that they are anywhere close to AL's best team. I believe a couple of short months will prove that. I also think that Minnesota's horrible performance was because they were horrible, and Baltimore reaped the benefit. Mauer has certainly been impressive.
  19. In Hicks' small sample of this year... he was 1/11 so far just now when I checked. He would have fit right in!
  20. But Span, Revere, Gomez, and Hicks....... they were all traded from a position of surplus and strength, right? I mean, they had to go to make room for the above, right?
  21. Don't tell Pressly.... he might think he needs to be affected too.
  22. Nope. It was/is painfully obvious to me that Perkins would be pretty worthless as a closer this year. I join you. I hope he just can be an innings eater.
