    Manship is doing so well he is now pitching in Korea. Hendicks had one good year, but this year has an ERA approaching six. Duensing is doing a great job as mop up man. His leverage index being 0.7o, just slightly higher than Breslow for a comp. Swarzak bounced through 2 different organizations before having success this year. He fetched the Brewer's 17 best prospect. That is similar to what the Twins have received and Bonnes essentially said was worthless.

    You can shuffle the holes with trades, but you will still have holes. Considering the need for a front line startre and two back end relievers, where was this going come from? That Levine wiggling his nose like Samantha Stevens?

    The best option when Stewart was drafted would have been to lowball so bad that you were not disappointed in the results had he signed or not signed and had a better pick the next year. I don't know if many people would have come up with that . Aaron Judge thus far is the steal of the draft but not many ranking boards had him that high.

    Kazmir was considered a front of the rotation talent at the time. Leake at the time was the Reds number 2 starter. with a track record of durability . The return was not that great for the level of talent. Recent trades of non star pitchers at the deadline do not bring great returns. That Garcia is having a better year than the last year does not improve his value Garcia at this point last year had similar statistics to this year. before tailing off at the end of the year. Will Garcia tail off again in August and September again? There is only a guess with the recent evidence pointing the wrong way.

    Santiago will have a rhab start on Wednesday It is not like Santiago had a maor operation. Out of sight out of mind for some. He still exists, he still is under contract and there is no reason to think he will not be back.

    Maybe Garcia as a rental has less valur than you think. In 14 games how big of swing is he going to make in the win column? Is he going to get you 3 more wins than a healthy Santiago?

    That they wanted a prospect back would give one reason to think it was Stewart. His pecking order as AA prospect is probably behind the other three starters. That they were rumored to want a prospect back indicates they still think highly of him. Romero would fit the same profile of pitcher with medicals. I do not think they would ask for a prospect back if it was one of the many relievers with medicals that are currently pitching.

    Top 30 of Atlanta, not baseball. Dykstra not projected to be much of a hitter, Eliis has a ceiling of middle relief, not even set up. Gant lacks command to be a starter. At almost 25 still has not shown command to be a starter, has given up too many runs yo be a reliever. That is not any different than a year ago. The Cards dumped a starter for low ranked prospects.

    The beloved 87 Twins, 05 Padres, 07 Arizona, 84 Royals, and the 97 Giants. made the playoffs with a negative run differential. Texas in 15 and 16 were very close to even. Less than 20 to the positive The 2014 Cards, also sneaked in. As the back end of rotations get worse it will be possible for good teams to have negative run differentials and still have some success in the playoffs.

    The premise that Minnesota is a destination for pitchers based on Colon signing? The improving defense helps the team, the rest is dependent on money offered.

    What is your opinion that you are trying to support? Bottom third of 36 pitchers in a 15 team means absolutely nothing given that the nl has used 127 starting pitchers By WAR he is 41. That looks better. By any metric of pitchers starting 5 or mre games he is in the 40-50 range. All any of it means is he has good days and bad ones, just like any league average pitcher. 1/3 of the games he stunk. 1/3 he was very good. That is better yhan the other 4/5 pitchers the Twins have thrown out there
