To trade for Mayo is to think the Twins can get out of Mayo what Baltimore could not. To trade for him would be to send them back players that are similar to that situation. Pick a pitcher, the Twins have quite a few that meet the criteria, pick a few lottery tickets and make a trade.

The article clearly stated that it was for the 2024 season. The author is a 20 year member of the BWAA. His background was easily found on the site. When you can’t argue the message, try to be accurate about the messenger.

The front office staff should be worried. Falvey said that when he got there the front office was lean. Look for a return to that. If Falvey can’t do that someone else can. The top had a GM and an assistant GM. Now there are 5 people doing the same job. The sales department is. Huge, the attendance is not. A leaner team might be worth a decent RP What went wrong? The answer is in part 2fold. The draft did not produce for years. Players who were unlikely to maintain a high level were not sold high.

When Outman was acquired they sent him to AAA and called him up only after Roden was injured for the season. He matched up with Stewart’s salary. The Twins did not need anymore really long shot players to go with him, so they just to a flier on outman. The flier crash landed. They would probably try to DFA him late to stash him in AAA

When I was a kid there was a rich guy talking to my dad. He was a wheeler and dealer in many areas. He was grousing a little bit on not making any money on a deal. Very few teams win without elite players. You want to insist that teams with just above average players are the reason they win, nothing I point out is going to change that.

To recap what was said since you would appear to have not followed what I responded to, the comment was about the Twins maximizing profits There has not been a single bit of evidence to support that under the Falvey regime. Since you wish to interject yourself into that conversation perhaps you would like to show how it is so. I put in my comment why it is not.
