it would take a tax lawyer to explain the tax benefits of owning a team during the years they can depreciate the team.

Twill this year be different? Will Jenkins, ERod, Gonzalez, even Culpepper see ML ABs? Will Wallner get platooned every time a lefty takes the mound? That is from your previous post. Nice that you run away from your comment Larnach was sent down in 24 for injury rehab and was not sent down in 25 So when they sent down Julian, where was your posts saying they needed to give him more major league AB? Miranda was never the same after getting beaned. Off the top f my head, all I can say is Kirriloff was injured a lot. He was counted on being a 1B/of until the bone issue I doubt you looked up playing time and injuries for your statement Wallner was out with a hamstring injury and an Oblique injure, otherwise he was in all but 18-19 games. About 1/4 of his hitting was done against LH pitching. BREF says he started 13 games against LH. Wallner does not automatically sit against LH

So with call ups , how many decent pitchers did he face in September? Would have they platooned Joe Mauer or not. Since you looked that up, I bet you checked his minor league stats to see if he hit lefties down there. Different era, different game. For Mays How many people here have said to get rid of Julian? Not a peep in response out of any of you that they needed to stick with him on the major lrague level?

A direct question gets vague answers and suppositions. Yup draft pedigree means a lot. Every first through 10th rounder develops into a MLP player when given consistent reps. How many struggling days in a row does a player get? Sending a player down destroys their confidence? Not failure at the big league level? Was there a study on that? Jenkins didn’t hit AAA pitching in the AB he got there. Emmanuel Rodriguez spent most of the summer injured once again. Out until late in August. I am just so sure it is a conscious decision to block his development by injuring him Gonzalez made it through 3 levels last season. So yup, the Twins are slowing his development too. The Twins did nothing to impede any of these 3 players in 2025, Yet you want to cry the Twins will impede them in 2026. There is no arguing with your logic there. Totally ****ing pointless

Well, legal age for CBD varies by state, so I couldn’t use that. Chew is 21, couldn’t use that.

It should not have taken too much to figure out that the asking price was going to be high for any of the Twins players. Falvey even said as much last summer. The suspected landing spots for players have not paid that kind of price, nor much more than a discount price for a player. Again, something that shouldn’t have been too hard to figure out why a trade wasn’t going to happen

The fangraphs projection system for wins and losses has been inaccurate. The team WAR totals have been surprisingly close. The totals for central division teams are close to each other. I would think with all of their analytics the Twins FO,, as well as the other teams FO would act accordingly. Many here would appear to not think that way

So there isn’t going to be a Trout or Soto getting to the majors before they can shave

Mets Interested In Trading For Joe Ryan
old nurse replied to Cody Christie's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
The chances of getting a player that approaches the talent of the player you are trading increase as the player you are trading away accumulated WAR approaches zero. -
Mets Interested In Trading For Joe Ryan
old nurse replied to Cody Christie's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
6 years of a player a team is convinced will be good is the bargain no team can pass on. Position players heading down off the list is usually, but not always a bad sign. Pitching prospects and these lists are closer to dues than not. -
Passan: Buxton Willing To Waive No-Trade Clause
old nurse replied to Matthew Lenz's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
For every statistic created there are an absurdly high number of people who will use it not as intended. There are also people who will never understand context and statistics. -
Mets Interested In Trading For Joe Ryan
old nurse replied to Cody Christie's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Quality players the Mets have traded for in the Moneybags Era Lindor Baez Mullins None were a pitcher. What did the Mets give up? Giiminez and Rosario have had moments, but not this year 2 suspects. Next Pete Crow-Armstrong as a 18 or 10 year old. Acting GM was Aved GM. Next, low level prospects. It is not going to be earth shattering news that somebody would trade for Ryan or Buxton. Don’t expect to like the return from the Mets -
Twins Awarded Comp B Pick in the 2026 MLB Draft
old nurse replied to Jamie Cameron's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
What? 3-4 games isn’t enough? Isn’t it just 3-7 steps stepping backwards and let it fly? shuffle over to the side a little bit to avoid a tub of lard landing on you. Surely the game is that simple. Least it was that way in elementary school -
If Buxton is waiving his no trade clause it would seem reasonable to consider he would want a significant raise and added years. Sandy Anderson said that after the Verlander and Scherzer flop for money that the Mets were going to have to develop more in house talent. Their pitching has been not an asset. I doubt they would give up what they have difficulty procuring. It would take a sharp computer programmer to figure out what Mets prospects in the lower ranks are going to be good. The Twins only have one pro scout

The point was why one would keep Larnach. Yup Roden hasn’t had much of a chance to prove himself. 4 outfielders and a DH. Larnach is the number 5 of those 5 positions By June or July. The situation could be changed, for the better or worse.

Matt Wallner has not played a full season of MLB ball, needing to be sent down Clemens spent like 87% of his playing time in the infield. Roden hasn’t shown he can hit mlb pitching Rodriguez hasn’t shown he doesn’t need a backup plan Jenkins has even proven he can hit AAA pitching Mendez hasn’t even seen AAA They had to keep Larnach at this point

Twins Awarded Comp B Pick in the 2026 MLB Draft
old nurse replied to Jamie Cameron's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
This issue I was responding to was about luck. Twins were unlucky in thay draft. Lewis claimed to not be injured the econd half of last year. You can’t use the injury excuse
