  1. As of right now, let's assume you have to have a 4 man staff. I think the AA/AAA featuring Sano, Buxton, May, Meyer, Rosario, etc give the MLB team a run for their money and wins 3 of 7
  2. Ah. I didn't realize exactly what he tested hot for. Should have just gotten a little HGH I suppose.
  3. It would never happen, if it could then A Rod would have been gone long ago from the Yankees.
  4. Yup, which is why Pelfrey was "cool" with it all if a sudden.
  5. MLB needs to rethink their stance on some of these PEDs, if all it is doing is helping him recover from an injury, I don't see the moral dilemma. This isn't roids where he is suddenly throwing 4 MPH harder etc
  6. To imply the twins should have "known" about this is pretty silly. It's not like he suddenly gained 3 MPh on his fastball or put on 20 pounds of muscle. Anything less then literally going through his garbage (though that probably wouldn't even matter) isn't going to give them any info on his using this PED.
  7. The wild are like the anti typical Minnesota sports team right now, very refreshing. Hopefully they can make a run to the cup!
  8. This is prob why Pelfrey changed his tune so quickly...odds are the twins knew about that's a while ago.
  9. The Minnesota Wild season officially ends? Or Alex Meyer pitches a game in the majors? The Minnesota Wild season officially ends? Or Trevor May starts a game for the Twins in 2015? The Minnesota Wild season officially ends? Or Miguel Sano gets an at bat for the Twins in 2015? The Minnesota Wild season officially ends? Or Ricky Nolasco gets a quality start in 2015?
  10. The CF situation is absolutely maddening, they are going with two guys that have next to zero major league future. Hicks has been a disappointment, but good lord, at least he has some upside. Hunter serves no purpose on this roster whatsoever, he is just taking much needed at bats away from players who can help in the future. Ditto with the bullpen decisions, I just don't get it, especially for a team coming off of a horrendous last 3 years, why you decide to stack the team with mediocrity throughout is beyond me. There is only one reason why Meyer or May shouldn't be up by May, and that is if somehow both Milone and Nolasco are pitching very well.
  11. Putting any stock into spring training is a mistake, Hermann, while I am sure is a nice guy, really has no business being on a 25 man major league roster on opening day, he is a decent org depth guy, but come on....he doesn't hit, he doesn't field well, he doesn't have speed. Pinto even with the injury should have been given the spot, no better way to bring him up to speed then having him face some major league pitching.
  12. My views: Catcher: League average hopefully. Pinto needs to be up ASAP. INF: Could be above league average. No real qualms. OF: Possibly the worst in baseball on opening day. Arcia is the only one who looks to be a league average player, the rest are pretty bad. SP: Solid, but its very unfortunate they aren't giving May or Meyer a spot in the rotation, Milone isn't bad, but he is a low upside guy, on this team it's just wasting starts by tossing him or Pelfrey out there. RP: Hot garbage, again, why fill it with proven mediocrity when you can give some youngsters with upside some innings? Overall I think it's clear that the Twins continue to have no idea what the heck they are doing. Very uninspiring, the only chance we have at an interesting year is if Sano, Buxton, Meyer, May, Rosario etc all get called up sooner then later and give us a reason to actually SEE the future at play, instead of watching over the hill Hunter and whatever that CF situation is take at bats day in and day out and having Milone throw every 5 days.
  13. Very uninspiring bullpen, not sure why Stauffer and Duensing were given Major league contracts with the team. It's pretty mind boggling that they won't give some of the youngsters a chance over proven mediocrity.
  14. I think Pelfrey could be a great 7th inning guy for us this year.
  15. Nice move by the twins.
  16. Anthony. Anything else?
  17. I got the twins at 25:1 to win the division a couple weeks ago.
  18. I think Pelfrey has a big bounce back year for the Twins, becomes solid in the pen and even has a few solid spot starts for the team when needed.
  19. Unless you think the team is gonna be winning 85+ games, you likely are better off just buying on stubhub for below face value, however weekend games typically have higher demand, so if I lived within the twins cities this may be the one package i would look at getting (probably splitting as I wouldn't want every weekend tied up watching baseball)
  20. One step further, with no Joe (and no Liriano/Nathan trade) the Twins likely don't go on a run winning the same amount of division titles, thus limiting the chances for a new stadium even more.
  21. Wow what a joke of an article. Mark DeRosa wasn't in the top 100 which makes it laughable, not being in the top 800 makes it treason against America.
  22. Even if Joe went on to become an MVP level NFL QB, chances are he still ends up making significantly less then he does in baseball.
  23. Haha. Cap it at $5 off a beer, bringing it down to the low low low price of......$5 a beer! I remember a bar in Seattle did a Chone Figgins special, whatever Figgins batting average was, that is how much a pint of bud light (or whatever was on tap) was.
  24. I'm guessing the mayo clinic dance off was more or less due to a sponsorship not be renewed/re sold. If The Twins really wanted to enhance the Target Field experience they would drop beer prices $1 for every 5 games the Twins are under .500.
  25. Dang! We were this close to getting Butera back and getting Jeff Samardzija to throw to him!!!!
