I would be shocked if Pelfrey is even in the mix for the opening day rotation. I think it goes to whoever has the best spring between Milone, May and Meyer.

Every other team in the AL Central (other than the White Sox) got worse as well. FWIW I think the Twins have a much better shot to compete then the Astros, Diamondbacks and Phillies.

More or less yes. I called him worthless and cheap and that someone should steal his statue and throw it in the river. -
People can bash on Punto all They want, but guy continues to get contracts and seems to be in the playoffs every year. Every player you draft is a crapshoot. Michael looks like a util major leaguer at worst, and he could improve to be an everyday guy. Not bad IMHO.

Makes sense, parmelee really has no reason to be on this club anymore. 900 at bats and a logjam at 1b/DH leaves him the odd man out.

I'd actually like to see them try to sign Johan Santana to a "split" deal. 2 million if he makes it to the majors at any point in 2015, 500k if he is in the minors. Eventually Johan is due some "good" luck and could potentially be intriguing out of the pen later in the year.

I would Be shocked if Meyer was moved as you are trading him at a low point. I don't think any SP gets traded but if one does it's prob Nolasco (plus money) or Gibson (still unlikely) I think they add a bullpen arm and call it a day. Maybe a trade or two as well.

Also keep in mind: That if Nolasco reverts back to his career average he suddenly becomes a pretty easy piece to trade should the time come (even if the Twins have to eat a few million) -

Great move, nothing to dislike about it at all to be honest. I would rather have Santana at 54 million then Lester at 160 million, while Lester has more upside I don't think it is 100+ mil worth. I would certainly rather have Santana+Hughes+Nolasco (sigh) at 110 million then Lester at 160 million.
