Meh this is a 40 post topic that has been going on for 2+ weeks or so. I don't think anything major was derailed as it's not a very active topic anyways. I think the Murphy stuff is relevant now that everyone is tripping all over themselves talking about how great he has become. Back to baseball: It will be funny when he goes 2-29 in the World Series.

Plouffe absolutely. Dozier, doesn't make sense as you don't have someone who can match or come close to his production at 2nd (note: Rosario can't play 2B any more) However if you can get equal value for Dozier, i.e. a good catcher, then you consider it absolutely.

What post were you reading? He never said Daniel Murphy supports Westboro Baptist, he said that Westboro Baptist supported him (see: Tweet) However: At the very least Daniel Murphy is A. Very stupid (it's not a lifestyle or a choice) B. A bigot Again I ask you: What post were you reading? Ben never suggested violence towards his fans or anything of the nature, you seem to be pulling up a made up argument out of thin air to somehow defend Murphy and his thoughts that frankly have no place in 2015.

What are your goals for the next 1 year, and 3 years? How much longer do you want to be a GM for? When you retire, will you advise the Pohlads to stay in house for a replacement (which failed the first time) or will you advise them to go outside the org for help? At what point will we make a "splashy" trade?

Mauer would have likely gone pro in football, he was one of the top QB's recruited his year and would have started at Florida State pretty quickly. Good arm, good smarts etc. Anyways, good for Mauer, well deserved for sure.

What specific industry? I'm in outside ad sales, sales can be a bit of a grind at times but you absolutely can't argue with the ability to make some of the most amount of money sans having a P.H.D or some high up legal position etc. Plus typically it's all about results so you can work you way up a corporate ladder much quicker then nearly every other type of job. Plus, you have the most freedom in terms of hours typically and vacation time. As long as you are a people person, have a decent product, decent boss and have a good comp structure go for it.
