  1. Our teammate picked #55. That was the Control Data character code (non-ASCII) for "blank". You had to be there, I guess.
  2. And if it comes back to you, it was yours all along?
  3. We have too many #9 hitters, for that.
  4. I chose #32, Koufax's number, when I played slow-pitch softball. I wasn't a pitcher, but I still anticipated many no-hit games for myself.
  5. Yeah, that math degree I earned in collitch really paid off, didn't it?
  6. I'll go with 45 innings and 1108 earned runs given up. In other words, just a typical season for Samuel Deduno. / Edit - argh, you didn't wait long enough for me to compute PLUS throw in a witty witty side-comment
  7. They were giving him AB's with the big club near the end of spring training. They don't hand those out to just everyone.
  8. TD posters who never much liked the Denard Span trade? As for the 221.60 ERA, that's what happens when you give up two home runs and then the box score doesn't have room for your 4-digit 21.60 ERA. Suitable punishment, I think.
  9. Haven't seen much mention of Elizabethton and the buildup to their season, but (as mentioned above) they start their games tonight. I note that one of my Adopt A Prospects, Tyler Kuresa, was demoted from Cedar Rapids at the end of May, and will be on the E-Twins' roster, as the only player listed at 1B, so I presume he'll get plenty of opportunity to straighten his game back out. You can see the entire roster at http://www.milb.com/roster/index.jsp?sid=t576
  10. Regrettably small sample size, as yet.
  11. "Give me your tears, White Sox announcer man."
  12. 768 hits for you and 768 hits for me would both still be the record.
  13. Me too. Nobody's ever gotten 1536 hits in a season before.
  14. Seems like a line of script that might have been a tad difficult to accomplish in one take.
  15. The .120 BA doesn't contain a lot of room for multi-start weeks, for that matter. Or multi-week stays in the majors. At least, for most players.
  16. Yes!! / A .120 BA coming in does not contain a lot of room for many multi-hit games.
  17. Let Hughes try for the complete game? If Gameday's correct, he's at 95 pitches
  18. Does that make them ghosts now?
