    Let's see: in a 2-2 split of the series, Twins starters went 26 innings and gave up 6 runs, Perkins pitched two innings and shut them out, and the rest of the bullpen went 7.1 innings and gave up 3. Prorated to 36 innings the non-Perkins bullpen was going at the rate of 15 runs. A league average pace would have been 17. Meanwhile in 4 games the Twins offense totaled 11 runs. A league average pace would have been, ummmm, 17. And some are going to assign blame for not sweeping to... the stiffs in the bullpen?

Though he could also be "Henchman #3" in the closing credits of an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. / bb-ref.com shows he has earned $4.523M in his career, so maybe I should just call him "Sir".

    Put me down for Pelf in the bullpen. Two stinkers in his past four starts, offset by one really good game. He seems like the obvious candidate at the moment when ESan gets activated.

    I chose #32, Koufax's number, when I played slow-pitch softball. I wasn't a pitcher, but I still anticipated many no-hit games for myself.

    They were giving him AB's with the big club near the end of spring training. They don't hand those out to just everyone.

    TD posters who never much liked the Denard Span trade? As for the 221.60 ERA, that's what happens when you give up two home runs and then the box score doesn't have room for your 4-digit 21.60 ERA. Suitable punishment, I think.

    Haven't seen much mention of Elizabethton and the buildup to their season, but (as mentioned above) they start their games tonight. I note that one of my Adopt A Prospects, Tyler Kuresa, was demoted from Cedar Rapids at the end of May, and will be on the E-Twins' roster, as the only player listed at 1B, so I presume he'll get plenty of opportunity to straighten his game back out.
