  1. As a UST Alum, spot on. Those guys are the worst. ETA: PS: I swear Im not the typical Tommie...
  2. As excited as I was/am about Correa, pitching depth (or lack thereof) is my buzzkill. I dont know what the answer(s) are, but something needs to happen and relatively quickly.
  3. So, if we sign up before John gets back from Europe, do we get a souvenir?
  4. easiest decision I'll make all day
  5. Great article Rena. I cant believe its been 10 years. I remember living in Kansas City at the time, and stumbling upon Twins Daily (I dont remember how that happened), and being super excited about the fact that there was such a great online community of Twins fans, even though I was 400-some miles away. Heres to another great 10 years.
  6. the day after we signed Park, I have a Korean patient in clinic, after his appointment I asked him if liked baseball. He answered in broken English, "Yes! Byung-Ho Park! good hitter!". He was so excited that the local team signed a Korean player. I was at the game he hit that monster shot, I actually won a Park autographed ball that game with some in-game Twitter contest. I wanted him to succeed so badly. one of so many disappointments in 2016. I cant remember who coined "total system failure", but man was that accurate.
  7. Great article, one small grievance. Its University of St Thomas, not St Thomas University. signed, fellow Tommie
  8. https://www.mlb.com/twins/history/twins-hall-of-famers
  9. I think all 3 are deserving. Not sure what took so long for Gladden and Tovar.
  10. I can still hear Dick Bremer's "oh no..." in my head after he threw that pitch. Liriano was the first real twins jersey I ever got. Like every one above, biggest "what if..." of my fandom.
  11. Nick, these have been great, but, (and nothing personal) I hope this series doesnt make it to TD's 10th anniversary...?
  12. Not directly Twins related, but Baseball 100 by Joe Posnanski. (from your local independent book seller, of course) https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/The-Baseball-100/Joe-Posnanski/9781982180584
  13. Are you asking if billionaires have made more than $43 million dollars?
  14. I think I might be too jaded as a MN sports fan. My gut tells me that what ever happens, it wont work out for the Twins. Buxton signs, and he chronically injured with minimal impact for the Twins and people complain about the wasted money. He's traded, the return players dont work out and Buxton becomes an perennial MVP candidate, WS champ and HOFer for another team. God forbid, let him walk, and hes this FO's David Ortiz.
  15. Would that migratory bird be a African or an European swallow?
  16. The signing Simmons isnt as embarrassing as "continuing to play him once the season was lost". And the HR Tortuga gave up wasnt as embarrassing as how everyone responded to it, both TLR and the Twins afterwards.
  17. That was some damn fine courtroom drama there!
  18. You forgot to mention the best part of the Jeffers HR. It hit a guys "hit it here" target sign. that was awesome
  19. Looks great John (and rest of TD team).
  20. I get it, because JA didnt pitch yesterday they are "Hapless". well done. What's that? no, I didnt read the rest of the article.
  21. a physical HOF would be cool, but as Seth mentions not a lot of space (unless they give up a bar at TF). plus theres a lot of stuff on display at Bat and Barrel
