  1. Very impressive! A few are ahead of Rogers, our main closer. Figure
  2. It was a shame that Dobnak went on a short rest. On the Twins side it`d have greatly benefited them if they hadn`t agreed to the double-header. Dobnak was abnormally all over the place, IMO Dobnak would`ve pitched much better if he had one more day rest.
  3. Very pleased that Pineda hasn`t showed hardly any rust & has pitched very well out of the gate. Hopefully Rogers will pitch well the remaining season
  4. Duran make sense, after this season we have some pitching free agents. It`d be nice to know exactly where Duran is, so we know exactly who we want to keep. By not calling up Duran, I assume they are determined to bring back Odorizzi
  5. Although time is getting shorter, I`m expecting Pineda, Odo & Hill to get stronger. Hoping all to be top form for the play-offs. That said it could be interesting to see who the starting rotation will be then
  6. Big fan of Astudillo. We need a good RH contact hitter against Boyd. Hope his plate discipline is better, we need his bat.
  7. Both teams played sloppy defense. Although Twins had few errors so far this season doesn`t mean they have a great defense. Lack of range is a big problem w/o Donaldson, so happy he`s back
  8. Why not not boot Vargas, I never understood why we picked him up. They said that they were looking towards the future. IMO his future is worse than his present
  9. Rooker should`ve been called up a long time ago, even before Jeffers. Rooker isn`t replacing Buxton or Donaldson, he`ll be used to platoon Rosario or Kepler against LHP, which we still need to stack the line up against LHPs or PH
  10. Like Big Mike, cheering for him! Happy that Buck is back! W/ Keurshel hope they play Astudillo & bring up at least Booker to get some decent RH hitters in the line up. Now that Buck is back they`ll probably slide a little & avoid Lewis call up.
  11. The Twins are being slaughtered by LHP, we need RH hitters that can make a difference. We have Booker, Astudillo & Lewis, why haven`t they been called up, when Donaldson, Buxton & Garver went down? We also need a middle fielder, Lewis fits the bill (another thing I don`t understand is they haven`t been giving Lewis time in CF). Could Lewis disappoint if he`d be called up? Yeah, maybe but he could take off too, like Arrais & at the same time Lewis is a much better fielder. Lewis raised up to the call at AFL, I believe he could do it here in the Majors. Yeah this service time deal is a bummer, I`m sure that`s what holding him back. I was surprised when they activated Jeffers .
  12. I think Dobnak pitched a good game. He did what he does best, get grounders. Our defense line up really sucks behind Dobnak, w/ Dobnak style we need a decent defense behind him.
  13. Except for catching we don`t have decent back up in case someone is injured, slumping or just needs a rest. We really need Lewis to take that step & they need to expose him to CF to help fill in. We really hurt when we need Kepler to fill in
  14. Let`s just say that he`s changed. Texas is happy w/ him, even though they aren`t doing very well this season, I believe they`d be looking forward to next year. w/ their new stadium next year they`d like to fill it (their best advantage is their rotation, I see them try to keep it together)
  15. I think Bauer would be a good fit , he could be the ace we need to take us to the WS. IMO Wes Johnson could handle him, at least for 2 months. I think Bauer & the Reds would be motivated for the deal so they wouldn`t have a Kepler/ Bauer confrontation
  16. 3 near Majors prospects, where Twins have a major to minor need. I would hate to see them trade any of them for anyone, especially Lewis. Hader isn`t a big need, he could come in handy in the PS but by then I think we could solve any BP problems internally w/o mortgaging our definite future. They`d be totally crazy to consider this outrageous trade. I`d consider a trade if it`d involve players which we have an abundance of prospects to fill in handily.
  17. Totally agree, he`d make a great reliever but try to convince him of that. I don`t see him giving up on being a starter. Always liked Scoop, makes more sense than Vargas
  18. IMO we have a lot of bats at our disposal, we don`t need any more. By the end of the season, I`m confident we`ll have our bats clicking
  19. Alcala is young, he`ll have his great games & bad ones. He needs that exposure at high leverage games
  20. Really happy & surprised to see Jeffers advanced so quickly. But disappointed that they aren`t working w/ Lewis in CF. I see one of our greatest needs is mid fielder subs. Lewis can play all 3 positions CF, SS & 2B well why not utilize his talent. Polanco will be around a long time & hopefully Buxton & Arrais will be around awhile, I see Lewis as a super utility player before settling at one position. W/ Cave in a slump, I`d like to see Booker given a chance as a RH platoon at corner OF
  21. I`ve been a big supporter of robo ump, too many miss calls. W/ the pandemic there was serious talk about installing it & thought it was a done deal w/ all the fears of umps getting covid. I was disappointed that it wasn`t. I guess those who benefited the most from those miss call was more important than the fears of covid.
  22. Lynn is a great pitcher, always thought that but I agree w/ Ted that Lynn might have a bad taste in his mouth about being shafted by MN & the whole 2018 FA ordeal. IMO we should look else where
  23. We don`t have an ace. Berrios is the closest but it seems he still has things to work out. If you`re asking who`s the Twins best SP right now? That would have to be Dobnak. Who will start the 1st PS game? Is an entirely different question, could be anyone`s guess. Our 2 top pitchers right now, may not even make the rotation for the PS. Maeda is able to have success w/ his revamp pitching selection much like Parker & Perez had in the beginning of 2019 until hitters were able to figure that out later on. His different delivery also throw batters timing off, hopefully that could get us thru the ALC but I have doubt it`ll help for the WS because the NL knows him, especially the Dodgers .
