  1. I really enjoyed the constant minor league report last year. An occasional CHS update would be nice
  2. Dobnak`s success comes from his high GB % not his SOs, along w/ his consistency & tenacity. He will do well as long as he gets the support he needs. I don`t think he`ll ever wow us w/ his stuff but he gets the job done.
  3. The pitchers will make their adjustments & Buck will make his. The most important thing is Buck has his confidence & drive that will catapult him to the level that we expect from him
  4. I agree w/ your poll & the opinion that Buck is just warming up. As long as pitchers think they can get Rosie to chase, he`ll continue to get his walks & better selection of balls to smash. Love the change
  5. Really like the way they are going all out to protect Buck! We really need him in the game We have a lot to be optimistic about solutions to covid 19 from legitimate sources but I don`t believe anything that the Russian or Chinese say, can`t understand how so many people put so much stock in it. The Chinese have been studying the corona virus since 2002, they should get it before the Russians. I believe in what I observe not what they say.
  6. Cave, Kiriloff, Larnach, Rooker & Wade could be starters on some teams, it`s a pity that there`s such a log jam at the corner OF positions. Cave has experience as 4th OF after him Rooker as a RH platoon at corner would be my 1st choice. But now w/ Astudillo & acquiring light hitting Vargas would free up the infield for Gonzalaz to help out the corner OF. So I see none of them called up
  7. W/ the short time before the deadline, I doubt very few can fore see what their needs will be. I too believe we can fill the gap for a step in closer. Duffy would be a excellent option, Hill could another until he`s fully conditioned for PS & what will we do to get Pineda ready before PS. I see our greatest needs are up the middle established player & SP (I`m not confident on how it`ll pan out for PS)
  8. W/ the deadline so close, no team can really evaluate what needs will be until closer to the end. I believe we have the talent to effectively fill the gap of closing, Duffy would be a great choice maybe even Hill could be great in high leverage games until he`s fully conditioned for PS. You`d need a crystal ball to figure out what your needs will be, we are pretty deep on dependable substitutions except up the middle & SP (I too am not confident on how it`d shake out for PS)
  9. Like have I`ve said from the beginning, IMO this year, it`ll be rare to see any trades. Largely because of the reasons that you stated. Almost all teams will believe they`ll be in the mix for the play-offs. Like you said, " because the Pittsburgh Pirates are currently the only team that is essentially already out of the race (can’t wait to eat these words in a few weeks when they suddenly become the ‘27 Yankees). Anyways, that means that either 14 teams are going to fight for Joe Musgrove and marginally improve their rotation or they’ll take their chances with what they have". So the teams who really need pitching & who think they have a shoot will fight over Musgrove.
  10. In 2019, Wes Johnson changed Blake Parker pitch selection & he had some short term success but after hitters figured it out Parker got hammered & the BP blew up. Some time afterwards, out of that mess Duffy finally figured out relieving. Always been a fan, happy about his success. I`m too frustrated, the Twins knows that Rogers can`t pitch consecutive games but they still do it
  11. I was exited when we got Gonzalez, he has been a great asset for the team. He hasn`t let me down.
  12. IMO I think the Twins treated these games w/ PIT & KC as preseason games to try to get some players some extra innings that haven`t yet worked out everything.
  13. I`d love more day games, Brent. Living in Brazil, I`d get to follow more games if there were more day games or have it staggered later
  14. Alcaia has been raved about lately & he has potential but w/ video of Celestino also shows some his potential. We need desperately a viable sub for Buxton, Celestino could be that one, actually we need someone for some time. I also saw his high leg kick much like Lewis, I`m not criticizing but I expect someone will
  15. Dobnak has been great, a real work horse. He has done everything that he has been asked to do. He has deserved a spot in the rotation. He has been asked to pitch in the #2 spot & has pitched 3 excellent games & should be 3-0
  16. Very happy for Gardy as well as for Cron & Scoop. Cabrera is a surprise, He has been a thorn in our flesh as well as former Twins but even so I`m not too concerned w/ them. Tigers are rated last even though they have a much better record than many ahead of them. Wish Gardy luck w/ his recycled Twins
  17. Yeah, around the league there has been a lot pitchers on the IL. Hill needs to be handled very carefully & needs to be taken very slowly after his surgery & time to be stretched out. We want him to be 100% healthy & top form for the PS.
  18. Don`t fix anything that`s not broken. The pitchers are adjusting to him so he needs to adjust & he will, besides finding his groove. NP right now because we have plenty of talent to keep us in games until he comes around
  19. I like the idea of an opener but as a BP game, I`m not so crazy about either. Clippard has pitched a lot of pitches lately, I don`t know if this a good time to use him as an opener. If they want use an opener why not use Bailey as a tandem & scale back his innings. Pushing back Bailey will push Berrios back, Berrios usually pitches better w/ normal days of rest, unless Hill also needs to be pushed back
  20. Dobnak has proved to me that he`s the Twins top pitcher, right now. It was great that he got the run support & Baldelli finally pulled out the big guns in the BP to secure his victory. Dobnak is like a pitbull, he`s tenacious. Go Twins, hope Donaldson a speedy recovery, we need him
  21. W/ Donaldson on 3B, it makes all the difference in the world. He has great range to his left & Sano has decent range to his right, that helps Polanco & Arrais to cheat up the middle to make up for their lack of range. We have a great & proven BP, Smelzer & Littel have shown some success last year & Thorp has great potential but haven`t proven themselves yet. So they should be used more sparingly & in less leverage situation & definitely not together unless in a total blow out
  22. Of all the starters, Hill has pitched the best (it was great that he removed all doubts about his arm) . W/ the line up getting crucial 2 outs hits to score the 3 runs needed to win the game in support. Baldelli brought out all the big guns in the BP to secure the win. Next to Hill, Dobnak pitched the best & could have won his game if he had the BP support the other starters had. Let`s see what Odo can do & Berrios bounce back in our series against CLE. Go Twins
