  1. I think the trade is fine, regardless. Especially if a big chunk of the $10 mil goes directly to Maeda for reaching as many of the incentive bonuses in his contract as he can!
  2. It's the Brusdar Graterol question no more....(other than tracking his performance with the Red Sox) The Twins have taken a definitive stance. They're going for it! I guess when you win 101 games, you're sending a message to ownership. It shall be a very intriguing 2020.
  3. Nice article, thanks. I get the sense that unless the Twins land another starter before opening day, they'll use some variation of the "opener" strategy. Perhaps Romero could be effective in that role, throwing as hard as he does. Granted, it's a big perhaps, but they are going to have to get creative and take risks, given the current status of the rotation.
  4. As a Canadian, just want to say it is awesome that Walker got in! Only the second Canadian born player after the great Fergie Jenkins. We are not only about hockey and the Raptors. This really instills national pride. Very cool.
  5. So many favourable optics and therefore reasons to look forward to the coming season. Even the uncertainty of the starting rotation before the return of Pineda and Hill lends an air of intrigue. It'll be fun to watch that situation unfold. The remainder of the off season may yet have some surprises, too. As far as Donaldson, 10 of the Twins first 19 games this season will be versus the A's and Jays, his two former AL teams, which is amazing. Somehow, though, I doubt that he'll need the added incentive.
  6. I thought of that too, but really, what are you gonna do? You can run wild with suppositions, or just let it go.
  7. My God. I never thought this would happen. I mean, the Twins offense now is absolutely mind-boggling. Yikes. Just wanted to weigh in quickly before having read much at all about it. Quite a week in baseball so far, and it's only Tuesday. WOW!
  8. That's a lot of sarcasm in 11 words..lol
  9. Yup. Maybe there's magic in that Sanchez surname for making comebacks. I live in Toronto, and Aaron Sanchez really was an ace with the Jays for a couple of years, overshadowing Marcus Stroman. Then the ongoing blister issues....I say worth a shot.
  10. The Twins had a good winning percentage against the west, as well. (including 4-3 vs the Astros ) They only faltered in interleague play. Also, I think that if the Twins were in the AL East, conceivably they could have added to their home run total, because every park in the division(except Tampa) is a launching pad.
  11. No Brusdar Graterol on your roster?
