It's a good thing in moderation. I hope they don't get too high on their own supply and start rolling this out more than once or twice a season, but it is a fun change of pace during the season. I think the real star of the show is Perkins; I always love hearing him whether as part of this or the regular TV or radio broadcasts. A mix of "fun" and good analysis.

I like Rocco, I think he is a solid manager, but it is the right move.

Thoughtful article that makes the point that Correa is slipping at defense and we probably should stop referring to it in vaunted terms. However, I agree with the consensus that the next best alternative is Brooks Lee and Correa's defense is still better. He'll move to 3B eventually and be better for it, but we need a better alternative first.

Mudonna gotta be pissed to be passed over for promotion in favor of a rookie. She's paid her dues in the minors for two decades and still hasn't gotten a chance to show what she can do in the majors.
  26. MNBearCat
Ok, but which one recorded the Grammy-winning 1999 hit “Smooth,” by Santana ft. Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty!?!?!?
  27. MNBearCat
Third reason - he and/or his agent got hit in the head with a baseball.
  28. MNBearCat
Great article, but gotta update that New Balance given that they're trendy (again). Skechers or Allbirds would be appropriate substitutes.
  29. MNBearCat
Yeah, but how would you spin this eminently reasonable interpretation of the facts presented into an article that would generate two pages of comments? That's the real question.
  30. MNBearCat
I generally agree with this. Have him mostly DH during his rehab assignment so he can get his hitting timing back, and then play a few games at CF so he can get back in the groove and, more importantly, determine how much recovery is warranted after playing a game in the outfield.

"Fortunately, Joe Ryan had a debatably real groin problem and an undeniably real home run problem" Standing ovation for this line.
  32. MNBearCat
Martin seems destined for a utility role, and if Miranda recovers well enough to factor into their infield plans, he will have surprised me.
  33. MNBearCat
Yeah, but, I heard on Twitter the Twins are trading for Ohtani.

I see we have a big Washington Senators fan on our hands.
  35. MNBearCat
The value the players provided is almost beside the point, the Twins won because they got out of Donaldson's contract and, to the surprise of many (including me) they actually used that money on another, better player instead of just banking it.
