    Thanks, Lucas (and Heezy). To me, these are the types of contributions that help set this site apart from others. It makes me question some reporting that Alex' surgeon didn't know why the injury was flaring up. My take away is that every person responds to disease, injury and then surgery and treatment differently. Let's hope Alex responds well this time.

    Good to see Rocco push everyone to win the season series. Two days off next week should help get everyone back on track. Cole Sands might be asked to wear one in the series finale today. I hope he can surprise us. If not, summary judgement shouldn't be passed. I mean, the Blue Jays are the best hitting team (going by that archaic AVG stat) in baseball.

    I'm excited for the bullpen now too, but "clear strength" is a stretch after one successful game with the new guys. I'll watch for a month and hope to see the unit develop into a clear strength. If Fulmer produces, I'd like to see the FO get him locked up for 2-3 years before he hits free agency. That hasn't been their MO, so it probably won't happen. As stated above, there is no reason for a bullpen mess at the beginning of next season.

    I definitely hope he/the team get some other opinions. It's turning into an episode of that Mystery Diagnosis show. I mean how do "the pain had gotten to a point where [he] could again not swing a bat" and "things remain status quo" fit together? I wish him the best and hope that someday we can see him smile more despite his stoic personality. I understand he's a person of deep faith, so I hope that's helping him. From a team perspective, the "where to play Miranda, Urshela and Arraez" problem has been temporarily solved. I think it would be wise to keep all three in a Twins uniform in the offseason.

    The Reds just dealt Drury to the Padres. At what point do Joey Votto and Jonathan India get assigned to the Louisville Bats, and the Reds become their AAA affiliate.

    Hate losing Povich, but you have to give to get. Lopez still has two more years of team control, so this is the type of move the club should be making.

    I don't think you've read many of Ted's articles. If there is a glass half full, he's drinking from it. The plan to fail wordsmithing comes across as harsh, but, with the massive youth injection, you expect some failure and hopefully a lot of learning from those failures.

    In my neighbor's garage, where I tend to watch a lot of games, Thielbar's nickname is "Northfield". I'd love to see Petricka get called up just for the novelty of it, and if he produces, that's a bonus.

    Buzz Lightyear ascends to the top. Woody gets kicked to the corner. The saviors have been anointed again. Meanwhile, Cavaco and Sabato have taken the spear and are being drained on the cross (not worried about them rising again ?). Rinse and repeat in 2023.

    At the risk of sounding uninformed .... Let's say Porter slips to the 4th round or later for that matter, since he's likely told teams that he's going to school. Could the Twins draft him knowing that he won't sign and then just use that slot money on Lee/Prielipp? Or, if they can't sign a player do they lose that slot money?

    Take the risk on Pallette, if he's there? Could end up like getting Seager and Buehler in one day.

    Wow, Chris Williams is smoking hot right now. We all know the Twins need depth at catcher, so I hope he can keep producing.

    Haha .... Nothing is more blinding than single perspective prospect love. I'm sure I probably wrote a comment along the lines of "... there is no way I'm giving up Romero AND Gonsalves for JT Realmuto ... " I'll probably do it again, too. ?

    Not a snub unless neither get selected as a reserve. Complete homer title. You can't expect either to get the votes with marginal stats over Yankees and Blue Jays (whole country).

    Good read. I think the Twins would have to give up more pitching. I also fear the amount of competition for available players won't allow the Twins to make this many acquisitions without a higher level of overpays.
