  1. I hope HotD can get some more action and adventure into the next episodes. It's been 90% house politics so far. The jousting was cool. Dragons in the backdrop are nice. A girl talking about how she can wait until 14 to be "bedded" is disgusting (Yes, I know it's its own world with it's own social norms).
  2. This should turn into a six game skid real quick. Lackluster bunch led by a robot.
  3. Rutschman has definitely been catching up in the odds. I'm pretty sure Witt Jr. was second even last month. As of August 15, 1 ) Rodriguez -600 2) Rutschman +850 6) Miranda +7,000 9) Ryan +13,000 Duran wasn't listed. That's FanDuel info.
  4. Glad the Twins have all three. I'll go with Duran, who's seemingly been the light at the end of the bullpen tunnel all season. Miranda is a very close second for me, and I second the idea to lock him up now. I'm hoping Ryan finishes the season strong. I think he's handled the de facto Ace role quite well for a rookie.
  5. I'm waiting for something that is below the $71.94 per season that I currently pay.
  6. I wonder if Enlow may be the roster expansion call-up for the pen. Already on the 40 and has moved to relief recently.
  7. It's irresponsible to throw him into that situation at the beginning of next year, but it's OK to bench Arraez or someone else to get him into the lineup regularly during a playoff push before rosters expand? And, he's going to do this with very little experience at 2B over the last three years and a player from a different position teaching him how?
  8. Pagan was the long relief (best use of him right now). Jax threw 12 pitches. Duran had Tuesday and will have Thursday off. Fullmer could probably use a day. I don't really see a problem, and the bullpen usage chart appears to validate that. They can wait until September to put another long guy (Smeltzer?) in the pen. Who are you going bench during a playoff push to get Palacios and his 73 innings at 2B between MiLB and Venezuela the last two years into the lineup? Again, this is a September roster move, if that.
  9. 0-4 with a -22 run differential against the Dodgers. Just pathetic.
  10. 2-10 against Dodgers, Padres, Yankees and Astros. It wasn't just one game. It will be 2-11 sometime after midnight tomorrow.
  11. Thanks, Lucas (and Heezy). To me, these are the types of contributions that help set this site apart from others. It makes me question some reporting that Alex' surgeon didn't know why the injury was flaring up. My take away is that every person responds to disease, injury and then surgery and treatment differently. Let's hope Alex responds well this time.
  12. Good to see Rocco push everyone to win the season series. Two days off next week should help get everyone back on track. Cole Sands might be asked to wear one in the series finale today. I hope he can surprise us. If not, summary judgement shouldn't be passed. I mean, the Blue Jays are the best hitting team (going by that archaic AVG stat) in baseball.
  13. A little hiccup in the aging process on this piece
  14. I'm excited for the bullpen now too, but "clear strength" is a stretch after one successful game with the new guys. I'll watch for a month and hope to see the unit develop into a clear strength. If Fulmer produces, I'd like to see the FO get him locked up for 2-3 years before he hits free agency. That hasn't been their MO, so it probably won't happen. As stated above, there is no reason for a bullpen mess at the beginning of next season.
  15. I definitely hope he/the team get some other opinions. It's turning into an episode of that Mystery Diagnosis show. I mean how do "the pain had gotten to a point where [he] could again not swing a bat" and "things remain status quo" fit together? I wish him the best and hope that someday we can see him smile more despite his stoic personality. I understand he's a person of deep faith, so I hope that's helping him. From a team perspective, the "where to play Miranda, Urshela and Arraez" problem has been temporarily solved. I think it would be wise to keep all three in a Twins uniform in the offseason.
  16. Lot's of fallout. Cotton and A Sanchez DFA'd. Sano to IL-60 (sad ending for Pelotero) AK to IL-10 Cave called up.
  17. Gipson-Long going back to Detroit. Edit: The big club must not have any hyphens in their stitching inventory.
  18. The Reds just dealt Drury to the Padres. At what point do Joey Votto and Jonathan India get assigned to the Louisville Bats, and the Reds become their AAA affiliate.
  19. Well, there goes my "Stranded on the Pitcher's Mound" post idea.
  20. Hate losing Povich, but you have to give to get. Lopez still has two more years of team control, so this is the type of move the club should be making.
  21. I don't think you've read many of Ted's articles. If there is a glass half full, he's drinking from it. The plan to fail wordsmithing comes across as harsh, but, with the massive youth injection, you expect some failure and hopefully a lot of learning from those failures.
